February 1, 201213 yr Lise *might* make it through to the final but she'll never get past Plumbo even if she does :o Sia's vocals are always superb, what's new there? :P I wouldn't mind visiting Estonia actually, it's certainly top of my 'Baltic states I'd like to visit' list! Oh dear, he's contracted 'old man syndrome' The blonde scared me with her huge eyes, although admittedly she had a better voice, and was responsible for that money note on The Last Time  No idea, perhaps she has English roots? :o Fingers crossed she does and some kind of minor miracle happens, or they get banned from taking part for being racist f***tards. Point taken  I've never followed her career as closely as I should though. Me too actually, it seems very Scandinavian somehow, I know their language is closely related to Finnish. See I think that's cute, but maybe I watched too many J-pop videos  SHE HIT THE MONEY NOTE :funky: Damn I wish I could have voted for that song. It's interesting, I might look into it. I still haven't got around to listening to the song, but I will, promise!
February 1, 201213 yr Author 03 - That's true, it would have been quite a risk to send it! 04 - I think I will as it was featured on a blog (I just made that chart rule up now :kink: ). I'll probably be a bit more lenient this year, but I'm not going back to charting multiple album tracks by the same artist again. 07 - I agree! I have read that they're getting a jury to decide the wildcard this year, so hopefully that's true! 09 - Well I'm not sure about that, there have been some far more fantastic songs in the past that have failed to qualify! 36 - Agreed there! I rather liked Baby Get Higher too! 46 - It crashed out :( . Sadly, they've decided to let a jury pick three finalists and the public only gets to pick one, so I think a lot of the fan favourites may not reach the final. 4. Haha, I love it - I approve of any new rule to chart this gem! That's fair enough, it does make the chart compiling process really difficult if a few decent albums are out on the same week. 7. Oh really? That would be fantastic, I hope they don't go for something crap though  9. I can't think of many DNQ's that have gone top ten in my chart - only Feel 4 U springs to mind from any time recently :o 36. I hated that, Stop Living The Lie was the worst though, the production was so cheap compared to Don't Let Go and the lyrics were awful. 46. Another corrupt voting system :( I love the top 2 - I agree that Titanium and Somebody That I Used To Know are basically neck and neck in terms of brilliance. Definitely, it's only a matter of time before both crash into my all time top 100 :o Hi gooddelta 1. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (1) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27-19-5-1-1) Longest Runner 2. I still haven't got around to listening to the song, but I will, promise! If they were going to be banned, it'd have happened by now, I'm more shocked that the Norwegian public haven't rallied against them in light of their comments. I've always liked Sia, mainly because of her vocals on so many Zero 7 tracks that were huge for me, Desinty and Somersault were both in my top 100 of the noughties  Money Note is absolutely excellent, an easy 12 pointer from moi!

Another corrupt voting system :( 07 - They probably will, juries nearly always do! :( 09 - I've had quite a number, but then my tastes don't really fit in with the majority of BJSC participants. A lot of the songs I award (and would want to award if they're in the other semi) high marks to end up crashing out :drama:

A lot of the songs I award (and would want to award if they're in the other semi) high marks to end up crashing out :drama: 7. Very true :( 9. My tastes are very much in line with the way the results turn out more often than not, which probably explains why my own entries tend to do well more often than not :o Obviously I've had a number of songs over the years though that I've given 12 to in the Semi only to see them crash out in the final. My absolute favourite was Jamali's Secrets in 2008 which went to #5 in my chart, but DNQ'd :( It was by FAR my favourite entry of that contest.
February 2, 201213 yr Thanks Simon, indeed, Mary J would really brighten it up. I was listening to 911 (the Wyclef duet, not the boyband!) earlier today you'll be glad to hear :P I approve muchly, but bad fan me I can't even remember how that goes ...
