The Santi d'Fejderand Áskorza Íl'lyancé and Central TV have both declined the offer to air FlopTalk on their networks. Santi d'Fejderand Áskorza Íl'lyancé will air a rerun of Sabrina the Teenage Witch in the 2:30am slot instead, this news was met with utter joy from the nations 90's children.

Right, here is my interview for anyone interested - obviously it's not exciting like the one Marky posted but here it is anyway!

Of course, if Marky does come back then he can then post the edited interview for everyone :D

Welcome to the show Carly Rae!

Hi Marky! I'm so glad I've been given the chance to appear on the first ever season of Sass Talk. Before we start, I'd like to thank the Sass Talk team for giving me this opportunity and to the delegation from Ramrynia for sorting this appearance out for me!

Is this your first appearance in BJSC, how does it feel representing Ramrynia?

I am extremely happy to represent Ramrynia in my first appearance at the Buzzjack Song Contest. I love the country, it has such a modern feel and it's on the coast which is always a plus! Especially as I love getting a good suntan from laying on the beach! Also, I think that my genre of music fits in well with Ramrynia's previous entries - in particular Diana Vickers and Katie Sky. Diana and Katie both fit into the alternative pop genre, which I think my music fits into as well. Diana and Katie both have an electronic influence while I feel my music has more of a country influence, similar to that of Taylor Swift.

Are we going to be getting any inside info as to what you will be wearing on the big night of the semi finals?

You won't be seeing me in a massive dress, that's for sure! I just want to have a good time performing my song 'Call Me Maybe' and doing the best job I can for Ramrynia. So, you'll probably see me in similar clothes to the ones I wore in my music video - a vest top and some jeans! Keeping it real!

Your song has been #1 hit in your home country, Canada. What are your expectations of 'Call Me Maybe' in this contest?

I can't believe the success the song is having in my home country! I'm so glad people like it and have spent their money to buy my song and get it to #1 on iTunes and get certified Platinum! Of course, that doesn't mean it will translate into success in the contest. There has been such a positive reaction of the song so far, especially 'the strings' in it which FSR Rontvia is particularly fond of! In the odds from various bookmakers in the Buzzjack World, I'm in the top 3 in all of them my best being 2-1 favourite at RontBet! However, my aim is to qualify Ramrynia to their 4th qualification from 5 - anything better than that is a plus!

Tell us a bit more about 'Call Me Maybe', what is the song's genre and lyrical themes?

I would say the genre of my song 'Call Me Maybe' is country-influenced pop, similar to the genre of Taylor Swift for example. The lyrical theme is about instant attraction that a girl feels about a boy, and the girl wanting him to 'call her' - but she knows the chances of him doing that are no more than a 'maybe'! I particularly love the twist at the end of my music video where the boy I like ends up asking my drummer for his number and it turns out that he was definitely not interested in me! (If you've seen the video, you'll get what I mean!)

Ramrynia are yet to have a big hit in BJSC could 'Call Me Maybe' be the smash they have been waiting for?

Ramrynia have done really well in the contest so far, managing to qualify three times out of four! But of course, they have yet to finish in the top half! I would love my song to manage that target, but as I mentioned my hope is just to qualify for the final again so Ramrynia can fully experience another contest final.

Could we see you going worldwide in 2012?

I would love for my current Canadian success to translate into worldwide success and particularly the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany - known to be the hardest music markets to break in to. I know that 'Call Me Maybe' has recently been released in the Netherlands too, so we'll see what happens there! I'm sure that if my upcoming album 'Curiosity' also performs well in the charts, my record label may try to explore new markets! I love a good challenge!

What is your opinion of my entry 'Pressure in the Club'?

When I have been speaking to other members of my delegation, it has been mentioned that we offered advice to the Republic of Sass and that 'Pressure In The Club' was our preferred option - so we are very glad you decided to choose it! The song is a great dance track that we hope will appeal to a large range of countries. Myself and the rest of the Ramrynia delegation hope the Republic of Sass will be able to qualify for the final on the debut!

BJSC XLI has been described by many as a contest of top quality? Do you agree with this?

Very much so indeed. I have listened several times to the other tracks in my semi final, and I am a fan of so many of the tracks! The semi contains a large proportion of dance-pop which is awesome, as well as some indie tracks that are really appealing too! It will definitely be hard for myself to qualify, and it will be a shame to those other entries that don't make it too. I've listened to the recap of the other semi, and there seems like some great tracks in there also!

What do you think of Rihanna getting 'Thug life' tattooed on her knuckles?

It's her choice! I'm a great fan of Rihanna's music, and something like this doesn't really bother me. I always think, if the press decide to publicise it - surely it's their fault that people know about it and not Rihanna's?

Carly Rae, you are one of very few artists who have avoided the 'sophomore slump', what was your secret?!

I'm so glad that myself, Josh Ramsay and Tavish Crowe managed to write 'Call Me Maybe'. I absolutely love performing the song and it seems others enjoys listening to it. I was speaking to the FSR Rontvia delegation the other day and they said that 'if you have a great song, that song should be successful - no matter what has happened previously'. So maybe that's the key, one song can change everything?

Would you ever have a hairdo like mine?

Definitely, who wouldn't?

Republic of Sass wish you and Ramrynia all the best with the contest!

Thank you so much! And thanks for taking the time to interview me too, I've had a really great time! Myself and the Ramrynia delegation would also like to wish the Republic of Sass and the rest of the participating countries the best of luck in BJSC XLI!

:D

Unfortunately our interview was lost as we have PMed Marky for the entire interview to be forwarded back but have received no response. :(

R.I.P. Sass Talk!

You should've checked that box that saves the PMs. So useful, I always do that.

Em so I've just noticed..

"buzzjack is not real, neither is your opinion of me."

 But I don't think this talk show will resume anytime soon.

I feel bad, the last post he replied to was mine questioning his country not being on a map...

I feel worse because apparently my comments were on the borderline of being a "bully"

Not to mention Marky's topic in the Lounge wasn't well received and maybe he felt like everyone was picking on him :(
