Well, I think it was obvious from the start that Lana Del Rey was going to be #1 in the Album Chart. Personally, I'm glad that the album looks set to put an end to the dreadful sales we've seen over the last couple of weeks. 'Born To Die' should easily sell over 100k by the end of the week - it's already sold around 70k in two days.

Indeed, it's one of those songs that got a boost in airplay last week. I had the track down as a potential climber the previous week but in a strong week it ended up stalling at #14 instead. Last weeks climb more than made up for its non mover position a fortnight ago.

Who knows!!! :D I'm really glad this track is looking set to be a consistant seller now up to #3 on iTunes. Would be excellent for this to become a UK #1 but personally I think it'll just be a big selling #2 or #3 hit in the long run.

I've not bought it yet but I've listened to all the album track previews. 'National Anthem' sounds good yet I've read comments about the demo which is supposed to be better. Not heard the demo version so can't judge. I also already have 'Off To The Races' as it was iTunes Free Download Of The Week a few weeks back and I downloaded it then.

Actually, that's an interesting comparison. :D Sia finally getting the recognition she truly deserves. It's only taken about 16 months since 'Clap Your Hands' topped my personal chart. :P I wonder if that track will finally get given a proper release later in the year in the UK. :o

It does seem quite strange yet funny that of all the words they could have used, they chose a sign saying "BATIDOS" in big capital letters. Mind you, I think I would've choked on my Crunchy Nut Cornflakes had that sign in the video read "KYLIENIPS". :lol:

Maybe the fsct that it does sound "very 90s" is the reason why I like it. It's like the commercial garage hits that started to dominate the UK charts in the late 90s. I like this anyways and the fact it's barely even 3 minutes means it doesn't outstay its welcome.

1. I'm now the owner of 'Born To Die (Duluxe Edition). :D Having given the tracks a listen yesterday evening, I think it's a brilliant pop album. I'm really not understanding why Lana Del Rey is getting so much criticism - typical snob attitudes hating for the sake of hating.

Listening to the album, it's clear that there is a style that Lana uses throughout the album but I think this actually helps the flow of the album. All the tracks sound like they belong together. I'm going to have to give this another full listen to see which tracks stand out as highlights. At the moment there really isn't a song I don't like. 'Radio' is the only track that didn't quite grab my attention on first listen so overall I'd say this was definitely worth buying.

3. Oh, I knew Sia mad #10 with 'Taken For Granted' but that song had loads of support from Radio 1 at the time. 'Titanium' has gone from being 6k behind to just 1k up to the end of Thursday night so I'm really hoping David Guetta feat. Sia will get that deserved #1 tomorrow. :D

:lol: I think I've mentioned this before but 'Titanium' was so massive for me back in September last year, I'm trying to avoid overplaying the track otherwise I'll end up getting bored of the song completely and it'll just crash out of my chart from sheer boredom of hearing the song. So technically no, 'Wild Ones' isn't better but of the two tracks it's the song I'm listening to the most. 'Titanium' still being as high as #21 in its 24th week in my chart is actually very good. I doubt 'Wild Ones' will stick be this high in my chart in its 24th week on the chart - there's no guarantee it'll even be in my chart for 24 weeks.

It's success in the HIT30 means it qualifies for my chart[/chartrules] so even if 'City Boy' fails to make the BJSC final (surely it will qualify? :o ) the track can still make my chart. Yes, I really feel having chart rules helps with compiling my chart. If I just allowed myself to chart songs as and when then I'd never be satisfied with the order from one week to the next. :lol:
