It's one of those songs that would probably have done better if it wasn't released at the time it was, probably got a fair amount of points last year too.

040 - David Guetta ft. Flo-Rida & Nicki Minaj 'Where Them Girls At?' - 363

039 - Marina And The Diamonds 'Radioactive' - 365

038 - Labrinth ft. Tinie Tempah 'Earthquake' - 370

037 - Beyonce 'Best Thing I Never Had' - 379

036 - Nicola Roberts 'Lucky Day' - 386

David Guetta had another hugely successful year and kicks off the top 40 with 'Sexy Bitch' sound-a-like 'Where Them Girls At?', featuring Flo-Rida and Nicki Minaj. Marina And The Diamonds continued where she left off, loved by the legions of BuzzJack but unable to get anything resembling decent commercial success with 'Radioactive'. Labrinth's 'Earthquake' was one of the biggest songs of last year that didn't reach number one in the UK but went on to comfortably outsell the song that beat it to the top.

The Multichart of the year has always been used to determine automatic qualifiers for the BuzzJack Record of the Decade competition ran later in the year, with the top 35 eligible songs going through automatically, and Beyonce and Nicola Roberts just sneak in this year with 'Best Thing I Never Had' and 'Lucky Day'. Nicola is certainly the flop pop act of 2011 that BuzzJack posters really welcomed to the music world with open arms!

035 - Coldplay 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' - 395

034 - Example 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' - 427

033 - The Wanted 'Glad You Came' - 431

032 - Lady Gaga 'Marry The Night' - 435

031 - Rihanna ft. Drake 'What's My Name' - 439

A highly varied 5 here kicked off by Coldplay who's summer return 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall' was a big return to form for them, they're followed by number one singles for Example and The Wanted, as they cemented their names as big names with two decent songs that people who aren't fans of the respective genre's got behind. Lady Gaga gets her second entry, there's still time for her to dominate just yet, and hanging round from last year, Rihanna and Drake's huge worldwide smash 'What's My Name' just misses out on the top 30.

030 - David Guetta ft. Sia 'Titanium' - 442

029 - Olly Murs ft. Rizzle Kicks 'Heart Skips A Beat' - 451

028 - Alexandra Stan 'Mr Saxobeat' - 452

027 - Katy Perry 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' - 464

026 - Will Young 'Jealousy' - 491

First we have the current UK number one for David Guetta with guest Sia, it's done exceptionally well to make the top 30 given it was only an album track and hype single last summer, I imagine it should have a strong showing again this year. Olly Murs returned this year with another number one single, featuing Rizzle Kicks which went on to become by far his most loved on here, there's Eurodance for Alexandra Stan, another highly successful single for Katy Perry and Will Young has a strong showing with 'Jealousy', generally regarded as his best single in a long time.

025 - Nicola Roberts 'Beat Of My Drum' - 492

024 - M83 'Midnight City' - 529

023 - Coldplay 'Paradise' - 543

022 - The Saturdays 'Notorious' - 566

021 - Rihanna 'S&M' - 601

An impressive showing for BuzzJack's Indie/Alt song of the year here as 'Midnight City' gets comfortably over 500 points, it was still beaten by 4 of the songs it faced in the indie forum poll though, including Coldplay who beat it by just one position, their second number one single was a slow burner that took high profile TV performances almost three months after release to really kick in. The "it flopped because it was OA/OS" Saturdays still get love on BuzzJack and are close to getting two top 20 appearances, on position anyway but not so much on points. Perhaps surprisingly Rihanna only has one of the top 20 as 'S&M' stalls just outside. There's also the second entry for BuzzJack's flop female of 11, Nicola Roberts, with the rather different 'Beat of My Drum'

020 - Foster The People 'Pumped Up Kicks' - 608

019 - Florence & The Machine 'Shake It Out' - 616

018 - Katy Perry ft. Kanye West 'E.T.' - 623

017 - Christina Perri 'Jar Of Hearts' - 638

016 - Lana Del Rey 'Video Games' - 691

The big indie/alt smash of the year 'Pumped Up Kicks' makes the top 20 here which is an excellent showing, Florence & The Machine may not have had the commercial success it was perhaps thought she would this year but 'Shake It Out' does very well here, along with the highest entry for Katy Perry, with the help of Kanye West. Two other US solo females round off this 5, Christina Perri with the song that just refuses to go away and Lana Del Rey, with 'Video Games' home on what may well be the biggest album of this year.

015 - Britney Spears 'Hold It Against Me' - 707

014 - Nicki Minaj 'Super Bass' - 729

013 - Lady Gaga 'Born This Way' - 738

012 - Adele 'Set Fire To The Rain' - 750

011 - The Saturdays 'All Fired Up' - 769

As we get nearer the top it gets more predictable, with less popular songs from three huge acts on BuzzJack all just falling short of the top 10, Britney's comeback 'Hold It Against Me', Adele's 3rd single 'Set Fire To The Rain' and the most hyped release of 2011, Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way'. Nicki Minaj does well to reach the top 15 with 'Super Bass', by far her most popular track and The Saturdays make appearance number 3 with 'All Fired Up'.

Good start. Oh, wait... I think alone I'm responsible for nearly half of Hush Hush and Got 2 Luv U's points . Also a large proportion of Monster's. And brilliant to see All My Life so close to the top 100. Which means 5 or 6 of my top 10 are in the top 100, I guess. I'm not holding out hope for the Wombats.

Wombats Jump Into The Fog 52

Wombats Techno Fan 31

Wombats Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves) 9

I do hope to see Agnes Obel 'Riverside' make an appearance at some point. ^_^

Agnes Obel Riverside 69

Wombats Jump Into The Fog 52

Hah! 48 points of that is mine then!

Excellent to see Titanium so high, and quite shocked but really pleased to see Midnight City up that high. Rescue Me (YMA6) was #51 for me, stands out quite a bit in that sea of... ahem. Fighting Fire, Rihanna and Jason Derulo () aside of course. None of those are really surprising though, the dregs of forgettable.

I'd like to see if the top 10 has any surprises in it, it could do, considering how high M83 sneaked up...

I shall do the top 10 tomorrow/Thursday.

Surprised this didn't get anything and H.A.M did :o

Agnes Obel Riverside 69

If its 40 pts = #1 down to 1 point for #40 then 'Riverside' would've got 33 points from me (my #8 of 2011) so I wonder where the other 36 points came from. :D

Also without giving everything away, am I right in thinking Foster The People are the highest placed non-female act in the top 100?

50 for number one, so 26 from elsewhere. I didn't keep track of who charted what where.

It's the highest placed all male song, but there is one more which is predominantly male.

010 - Lady Gaga 'Judas' - 773

009 - Jessie J ft. B.o.B. 'Price Tag' - 842

008 - Maroon 5 ft. Christina Aguilera 'Moves Like Jagger' - 845

007 - Britney Spears 'Till The World Ends' - 861

006 - Nicole Scherzinger 'Don't Hold Your Breath' - 878

Lady Gaga kicks off the top 10 with 'Judas', the second single from her 'Born This Way' album, I'm surprised it finished so high, certainly ahead of 'Born This Way' at least. Jessie J and a token rapper are a9 with the years early smash 'Price Tag', Maroon 5 are the highest placed males on the countdown with their huge worldwide smash hit, with a little help from one of BuzzJack's favourite warblers, Britney is pretty much completely irrelevant in the UK now but she still has a large fanbase here and 'Till The World Ends', helped with a remix, finishes fairly well and former Pussycat Doll Nicole finally gets rid of the 'Flopzinger' tag with a number one single.

005 - Lady Gaga 'The Edge of Glory' - 909

The third single from her second album 'Born This Way', it was the first time she seemed to really unite people into thinking she'd released a great single again, however it was no where near as much of an event as previous singles had been and it didn't give the album as much help as it was probably hoped.

004 - Adele 'Rolling In The Deep' - 956

2011 was the year of Adele and this was the song that kicked it all off, released at the start of the year which is usually reasonably quiet probably helped its cause but this was a comeback single of tremendous quality that many would never have anticipated, it seemed to appeal to most people winning over those who don't usually like her stuff.

003 - Adele 'Someone Like You' - 1,006

Just managing to get over 1,000 points, but miles away from a close top 2, is another song from Adele, the song which took the tremendous amount of hype and sales that 'Rolling In The Deep' had brought, and then blew it out of the water, mainly down to THAT performance at the BRITs this became the biggest song of the year almost immediately and was never caught, ending the year completely inescapable.

002 - Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris 'We Found Love' - 1,156

Racking up hits as quick as anyone ever has, Rihanna was releasing the lead single for her 6th album before she'd even finished promoting her 5th, written by Calvin Harris this has massive appeal, in a year where dancefloor hits had ruled the charts, there wasn't anywhere near as many at the back end of the year when this came so it managed to be perfectly timed as it filled something of a gap. It was as popular as any previous hit she'd had and showed no signs that we'd had too much of Rihanna, and within just a few months became her 3rd million selling single, all three passing the mark in the space of about a year.

001 Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull 'On The Floor' - 1,181

The song of the year though, goes to Jennifer Lopez, something which 18 months ago no one would've thought would ever happen, but it would appear we've reached a time now where previous irrelevance no longer means anything, and after a few years without a decent sized hit single or album she released the biggest song of her career. Released at a time where there were so many songs of this type about, it managed to stick out from the crowd and become a huge hit.

What a horrible winner. :(
