Mistaken isn't awful, it's just completely wrong for Eurovision in 2012, it would have been below par in 1995...

Mercy is better, and catchy but not sure if it would definitely make it out of the semi final.

I'm not feeling Mercy at all after that performance.

ad break.

So far it's all on Donna, but I expect Jedward to blow the stage away.

Mistaken and Mercy were nice but I wasn't blown away by either of them

Mistaken is definitely no winner, it "might" qualify if it gets the culture vote but that is iffy ground.

I agree with Niamh about Mercy, it just seemed like for a song like that...there was so little going on. Donna really gave it socks but it wasn't enough to make performance go boom.

I think Mercy would qualify with the right production, but I don't think we'd be very successful in the final.

I feel it wouldn't qualify at all. Et Cetera was more lively and edgier and it didn't make it. Different styles, but "Mercy" has the downpart of being a watered-down electropop number, and we have so many of them (bolder and better even!) in Eurovision.

This national final feels like such a formality.

Jedward are obviously going to walk it.

True. Don't know why they bothered with it if Jedward went for it again. Unless Andrew has a stunning number.

Imagine Lena taking part in Unser Star Fur Dusseldorf last year! HAHA

"We need to bring rock to the Eurovision"?? Where have you been these past years?? Have you've heard of YouTube?

3. Here I Am

I expected this to be a lot stronger than it is after reading this thread, but I reckon this could do a A Friend in London in Baku or so.

I love Here I Am, would really like to see it in the contest - fantastic grand production! The studio sounds a lot better though admittedly...
I love this lady in redm who is she? She speaks my mind!

Same  Loving how truthful she is!

No idea who she is though, an Irish commentator?

The woman in red is mairead farrell, she's an irish tv personality.

4. The Language of Love

I was expecting worse to be honest, but it's really dated. Wouldn't be out of place after Malta 2004.

The woman in red is mairead farrell, she's an irish tv personality.

Does she sing? Can she go to Eurovision instead? She's stunning!

I don't think so, she's usually on a talk panel. (that's light hearted and funny)

He is John and he is Edward, and together they are John & Edward!... Well, Jedward!
