Posted February 13, 201213 yr I thought I'd post the major winners from the Rock field from the Grammys last night, but the Foos went and won them all :lol: Best Rock Album: Wasting Light Best Rock Song: "Walk" Best Rock Performance: "Walk" Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance: "White Limo" They also won Best Long Form Music Video for "Back & Forth". Somewhat predictably, the only award they lost all night was Album of the Year to... Adele :lol:

That's an incredible stat, it was such an obvious winner this year though. Even without the stellar reviews they were up against Kings of Leon and RHCP albums which performed far poorer, Jeff Beck and Wilco.

February 23, 201213 yr Author Followed it up by (unsurprisingly) taking home Best International Group at the Brits, beating out Fleet Foxes, Lady Antebellum, Maroon 5 and The Throne. Were there still an International Album category they'd have probably taken that home as well since the two often come as a pair. Double winners since 2000: 2005: Scissor Sisters 2006: Green Day (despite "American Idiot" being nearly eighteen months old at the time) 2007: The Killers 2008: Foo Fighters 2009: Kings of Leon 2011: Arcade Fire

I prefer "White Limo" to "Curl of the Burl" but I wouldn't have minded Mastodon winning. It was inevitable for that award that a number of people would complain when a metal band didn't win it despite the 'Hard Rock' bit of the award's title :lol:
