I'm not surprised that came top given your vocal dislike to similar songs in Melodifestivalen :heehee: . I decided to work out my top 40 too as it's not something I'd thought about before. Mando's outfit was very interesting indeed, shame the same couldn't be said about her song! :(

 

2004 was very much the year of the "awful male soloists", and Jari sadly fell into that category for me. The only male entrants I liked were Zeljko and Deen, and to an extent, Sakis and James Fox.

Just glad Baila El Chiki Chiki didn't make the Worst 40. :wub:

For some reason, since compiling this chart Zauvijek volim te has been in my head on and off :mellow: I never even considered it to have much of a melody before but it must do, because that horrible tune keeps haunting me! Sister's a good call for #1, awful! Anyway, of the ones not in my chart that are in yours Ghosty, I don't care for many of them but I like these ones;

 

03 Tie Break - Du Bist (Austria 2004) - I even gave this a point in Pavel's 2004 rerun, can't resist a boyband ballad, even in German :lol:

 

18 Platin - Stay Forever (Slovenia 2004) - This was a #3 hit in my chart, the shame! I still like the tune though

 

37 Knut Anders Sørum - High (Norway 2004) - I honestly found this so underrated personally, it's actually really melodic and I was shocked to see it finish last in 2004

 

38 Mando - Never Let You Go (Greece 2003) - Nothing spectacular but 100 times better than S.A.G.A.P.O., some solid MOR from Greece, not a country you'd expect to dabble in dated balladry

 

I don't love any of those though, so good work! Oh and Nesto Sto Kje Ostane and Vjerujem U Ljubav should have been in mine but I evidently forgot all about them :drama:

I can see why you like Stay Forever, as it has a certain charm about it, but the couple who sang it really weirded me out :lol: .

 

I know quite a lot of my top 40 are very MOR, but I find a lot of those entries so frightfully dull that I sometimes end up disliking them more than the novelty entries :lol: .
