Hi Hits :D

01 (--) Studio Killers - Ode To The Bouncer (01) [1 wk] Congrats on the top ten! Definitely deserved, glad I gave it the tiniest bit of help :P

02 (--) DJ Fresh feat. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (02) [1 wk] My vote went to this - Rita sounds gorgeous on it, hopefully she's set up for solo success now!

03 (02) Donkeyboy - City Boy (02-03) [2 wks]

04 (01) Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (01-01-01-01-01-01-04) [7 wks]

05 (--) Emeli Sandé - Next To Me (05) [1 wk]

06 (03) Flo Rida feat. Sia - Wild Ones (03-03-03-06) [4 wks]

07 (04) Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (02-02-02-04-07) [5 wks]

11 (--) Martin Solveig & Dragonette feat. Idoling!!! - Big In Japan (11) [1 wk]

14 (10) Madonna feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A. - Give Me All Your Luvin' (10-14) [2 wks] This doesn't really seem to be sticking anywhere with anyone, and it is a bit lacklustre - I actually like the cheerleader bits and the guest features but the chorus is really quite weak. Hopefully there's better on the album.

15 (--) David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On (15) [1 wk]

17 (12) Cazzi Opeia - My Heart In 2 (03-04-05-07-09-12-17) [7 wks]

18 (15) Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (01-01-01-02-03-03-06-09-09-07-11-11-13-13-19-17-20-22-23-22-16-13-15-18) [24 wks]

19 (21) Nerina Pallot - All Bets Are Off (25-21-19) [3 wks] It's a shame her commercial success - small as it was - seems to be over, she's such a strong artist and a lovely woman, and this song is really melodic. I guess she just doesn't stand out enough for the mainstream though.

20 (11) David Guetta feat. Sia - Titanium (04-03-03-05-06-07-06-08-09-11-12-17-19-22-24-26-29-31-26-22-27-16-21-21-15-11-20) [27 wks]

31 (23) Florence & The Machine - No Light, No Light (11-10-16-23-31) [5 wks]

32 (29) Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (14-09-06-06-02-01-02-04-07-12-20-23-29-32) [14 wks]

33 (19) M.I.A. - Bad Girls (19-33) [2 wks]

36 (36) Lana Del Rey - Video Games (01-01-01-02-02-02-03-04-04-07-10-10-12-13-15-16-18-20-21-21-24-27-32-32-30-36-36) [27 wks]

05 (--) Emeli Sandé - Next To Me (05) [1 wk] Just beautiful, reminds me of Rolling In The Deep with the thumping drums, great catchy chorus and great vocals, and I love the album especially the strip down version of Read All About It, Pt. III

07 (04) Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (02-02-02-04-07) [5 wks]

08 (06) The Black Keys - Lonely Boy (12-07-06-08) [4 wks]

15 (--) David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On (15) [1 wk] Not much of a Nicki Minja fan myself, but I got a soft spot for this track for some reason, probably its because its so damn catchy

16 (--) Ed Sheeran - Drunk (16) [1 wk]

18 (15) Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (01-01-01-02-03-03-06-09-09-07-11-11-13-13-19-17-20-22-23-22-16-13-15-18) [24 wks] My personal chart #1 for a 3rd week, never gets old, and at first it didn't even catch on with me and now I totally love it :D

Awesome stuff :D

Hey Hits, yay at Flares going in at #1 on the pre-release chart :cheer: My faves;

01 (--) Studio Killers - Ode To The Bouncer (01) [1 wk] I discovered my chart in which this debuted last year, I even posted the video as one of my 'songs of the week'. You even commented on my chart that week and didn't listen to the song, shameful, you could have discovered it almost a year earlier :o And HA, look what my other 'song of the week' was that week! Hear the hits first in the Hit Parade :funky: Nobody commented or even acknowledged Ed or Studio Killers in their lists so I can only assume that nobody pays any attention to my recommendations, considering they became popular on the forum months afterwards

02 (--) DJ Fresh feat. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (02) [1 wk]

03 (02) Donkeyboy - City Boy (02-03) [2 wks]

04 (01) Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (01-01-01-01-01-01-04) [7 wks]

05 (--) Emeli Sandé - Next To Me (05) [1 wk] Nice song, it lacks something to make it 'amazing' for me at the moment, I still prefer the wonderful 90s throwback of Heaven. The album is fantastic by the way.

06 (03) Flo Rida feat. Sia - Wild Ones (03-03-03-06) [4 wks]

15 (--) David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On (15) [1 wk]

16 (--) Ed Sheeran - Drunk (16) [1 wk] Oops, all things considered it's a bit of a failure for you after Lego House. And only a #8 peak in my chart after three #1's - even the loon in me can only get a song so far :drama: I do like it though, as a strong album track - not a single.

Hello Hits,

01 (--) Studio Killers - Ode To The Bouncer (01) [1 wk] - Didn't matter that this was old for me, I hadn't heard of it, I was barely paying attention to songs like that when it was first released, and it's lovely all the way through, so thanks for entering it. This got my vote, it is really quite superb (and I should be doing more with it in my own chart :drama:)

02 (--) DJ Fresh feat. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (02) [1 wk] - This isn't as good as Louder so far, it all seems a bit repetitive and not as gloriously summery as that one. Seems like it's doing as good for you though, just Studio Killers blocking it. Certainly don't begrudge it the #1 though, it's a catchy track, and I'm still waiting for Next To Me to hit me...

03 (02) Donkeyboy - City Boy (02-03) [2 wks]

04 (01) Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (01-01-01-01-01-01-04) [7 wks]

13 (09) Jessie J - Domino (06-06-03-03-05-04-09-13) [8 wks]

14 (10) Madonna feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A. - Give Me All Your Luvin' (10-14) [2 wks]

15 (--) David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On (15) [1 wk] - I realise this isn't as strong as Titanium, but I still feel a good amount of power and euphoria behind it when I listen, and that's what makes it for me, so I'm glad this is doing well so quickly after Titanium.

16 (--) Ed Sheeran - Drunk (16) [1 wk]

17 (12) Cazzi Opeia - My Heart In 2 (03-04-05-07-09-12-17) [7 wks]

19 (21) Nerina Pallot - All Bets Are Off (25-21-19) [3 wks] It's a shame her commercial success - small as it was - seems to be over, she's such a strong artist and a lovely woman, and this song is really melodic. I guess she just doesn't stand out enough for the mainstream though.

20 (11) David Guetta feat. Sia - Titanium (04-03-03-05-06-07-06-08-09-11-12-17-19-22-24-26-29-31-26-22-27-16-21-21-15-11-20) [27 wks]

Great chart!

Cheers Mr RFL :D

Massively playing catch here with some late replies.

01 (--) Studio Killers - Ode To The Bouncer (01) [1 wk] Congrats on the top ten! Definitely deserved, glad I gave it the tiniest bit of help :P

Thanks, I didn't realise the track had been around since last April - first time I heard of the track was in December when it rocketed to #1 in The Netherlands.

02 (--) DJ Fresh feat. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (02) [1 wk] My vote went to this - Rita sounds gorgeous on it, hopefully she's set up for solo success now!

It is a great track and had it not been for the newly added BJSC effect there's no doubt 'Hot Right Now' would've been #1 in my chart this week.

I'm not that surprised. It's far from being a Madonna classic and there's two ways of looking at this. Firstly, why is Madonna trying to act like she's half her age? Secondly, do Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. actually add anything of relevance to the song? All in all, a decent enough song but flawed regardless imo.

This has been niggling away since I first heard it 3 weeks ago. This is a really nice plesant song to listen to and it would be nice to see this doing well but it ain't gonna happen.

15 (--) David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On (15) [1 wk] Not much of a Nicki Minja fan myself, but I got a soft spot for this track for some reason, probably its because its so damn catchy

Cheers Martin :D

01 (--) Studio Killers - Ode To The Bouncer (01) [1 wk] Bit of a discovery for me, great track

Will you be charting this at all? Seems odd if you discovered a track you like but then don't proceed to include it in your chart of tracks you're saying you're enjoying at the moment. Surely this must be amongst those 40 songs now? Maybe it'll enter your new chart. :D

05 (--) Emeli Sandé - Next To Me (05) [1 wk] Just beautiful, reminds me of Rolling In The Deep with the thumping drums, great catchy chorus and great vocals, and I love the album especially the strip down version of Read All About It, Pt. III

Unlucky for Emeli in a way. Going to stall at #2 in the UK by two different chart toppers. Nu-Moves Like Jagger?

11 (--) Martin Solveig & Dragonette feat. Idoling!!! - Big In Japan (11) [1 wk] Yes I know its not the Alphaville hit :P

Are you sure? :P

15 (--) David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On (15) [1 wk] Not much of a Nicki Minja fan myself, but I got a soft spot for this track for some reason, probably its because its so damn catchy

Nicki Minaj is a really odd artist - I either like her additional parts in songs, or absolutely detest them. Her worst being her bizzare rap in the 'Til The World Ends (Remix)'.

Did you know that Kylienips awarded Gotye 4 points in BJSC back in September 2011? :kink: Yes, you've been loving this song for 6 months and you didn't even know it.

26 (20) M83 - Midnight City (18-16-12-18-25-35-(x15)-14-14-06-10-20-26) [12 wks] Still going strong for you

Up to last week yes but I think it's safe to say this track has done all it's likely to achieve. Maybe another week between 31-40 is likely but I reckon this will have dropped out within the next fortnight.

Awesome stuff :D

Cheers Tom :D

01 (--) Studio Killers - Ode To The Bouncer (01) [1 wk] (Fantastic, and well deserved top 10, I hope it will get a UK release someday, it could be huge)

Was this even released in the UK last year? It seems it was just quietly added to UK iTunes with no fuss whatsoever. Like Gotye has proved, I'm sure there's plenty of people in the UK who would buy this track if only they knew it existed.

02 (--) DJ Fresh feat. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (02) [1 wk] (THREE decent UK #1s in a row, what the hell is happening  Did you realise she was in Eurovision: Your Country Needs You the same year as Jade?)

I read about that last year. Who'd have thought Rita would end up with a UK #1 to her credits. :D Something even Jade Ewen has struggled to achieve. Don't worry about the great chain of UK #1 hits. Dappy will be at no. 1 next week to ensure normal service is resumed as far as the UK charts are concerned (I'm hoping 'Rockstar' fails to make #1 and peaks at the exact same position as Nickelback did in 2008 :D ).

11 (--) Martin Solveig & Dragonette feat. Idoling!!! - Big In Japan (11) [1 wk] (this had to get my vote, though it was close with SK, but I love this track and I'm obsessed with Japan )

Shame this completely bombed as I've the music video to this a few times on Sky but it hasn't had the same impact that 'Hello' had. I don't even think it's been successful in Europe either. :(

32 (29) Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (14-09-06-06-02-01-02-04-07-12-20-23-29-32) [14 wks] (Great run :o Glad she has been signed now)

Ohh that's interesting to know. :o I wonder if we'll see 'Nuclear Seasons' getting an official UK release at some point in 2012. It's such a great track (well, it topped my chart so it must be!!! :smoke:  ). Also noticed Azealia Banks on Radio 1's 1-Upfront list so maybe we'll see two more former BJSC entries (and **ahem** no. 1 hits in my chart ^_^ ) becoming big hits in their own right.

Hey Hits, yay at Flares going in at #1 on the pre-release chart :cheer: My faves;

Cheers Richard :D

Hey Hits, yay at Flares going in at #1 on the pre-release chart :cheer:

Well, it didn't get my 12 points for nothing. Should easily become a big hit in my chart. A future #1 hit? Could well happen - the signs are promising. :D

Look what entered your chart at #8 that week? :o No wonder I didn't pay attention to anything else. To be fair, 'You Need Me...' isn't all that. It did make #10 in my chart but tailed off rather quickly after that.

05 (--) Emeli Sandé - Next To Me (05) [1 wk] Nice song, it lacks something to make it 'amazing' for me at the moment, I still prefer the wonderful 90s throwback of Heaven. The album is fantastic by the way.

I do think perhaps the fact it's so similar to 'Rolling In The Deep' in its production and formulae maybe others listened to this track and just thought "copy cat". Even so, I think it's a fine track and my fave Emeli single to date. 'Heaven' did well eventually peaking at no. 9 in my chart though.

'Drunk' follows on more from 'You Need Me...' rather than 'Lego House' which for me was the proper follow up to 'The A Team'. This is why I've not bought '+' because I can't help but think I'd be disappointed. Four singles and only two that I really have time for. That said, I made a comment (that didn't go down well) about Ed Sheeran being a more successful breakthrough artist than Jessie J and how I predicted him to win Best British Breakthrough over Jessie J. Was I right? :D

24 (--) Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick feat. Skin - If This Ain't Love (24) [1 wk] Skin from Skunk Anansie? Not heard this.

It's actually pretty decent actually. Far better than 'Elephant' imo.

06 (03) Flo Rida feat. Sia - Wild Ones (03-03-03-06) [4 wks]

07 (04) Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (02-02-02-04-07) [5 wks]

12 (08) Pink - Bridge Of Light (04-04-05-08-12) [5 wks]

34 (28) The Maccabees - Pelican (09-09-15-22-22-28-34) [7 wks]

Great chart as always! :D

Cheers Issac :D

01 (--) Studio Killers - Ode To The Bouncer (01) [1 wk] - Didn't matter that this was old for me, I hadn't heard of it, I was barely paying attention to songs like that when it was first released, and it's lovely all the way through, so thanks for entering it. This got my vote, it is really quite superb (and I should be doing more with it in my own chart :drama:)

Lovely? Not a word I'd use to describe 'Ode To The Bouncer'!!! It's brilliantly trashy in a semi-kitsch kind of way. Will be interesting to see what their second single will sound like. Considering this was first released last April, I can't find any other tracks by Studio Killers on YouTube. Just loads of remixes of this track.

I actually really like both track but then again 'Louder' did spend 4 weeks at #1 in my chart so maybe I do like 'Louder' more as it was a dominant force on my chart last summer. Then again, there was hardly any competition during that time period.

This definitely doesn't come close to 'Titanium' for me. As I've already mentioned, Nicki Minaj is one of those artists who I find really odd. Sometimes I find her offputting whilst other times I do tend to find her slightly funny (her rap verse in 'Where Them Girls At' is genius  ) but that aside, not much else.

Cheers Richard :D

Hey Hits, yay at Flares going in at #1 on the pre-release chart :cheer:

Well, it didn't get my 12 points for nothing. Should easily become a big hit in my chart. A future #1 hit? Could well happen - the signs are promising. :D

1. True but who knows if there are some future Batidas entries hiding somewhere in my current chart that you're ignoring for now, only to love in early 2013? :o As for You Need Me..., I can't agree - I know it wasn't as commercial as Lego House but I slightly prefer it, I know every rap perfectly  The demo version (I combined all versions for the purposes of my chart) was more melodic, he put out a very beat heavy version of it for the official release, perhaps you'd prefer the demo?

9. Funnily enough, since making that comment it's well on its way to becoming 'amazing' for me, been listening to it a lot this week  It's no Rolling In The Deep but I'm liking it more and more with each listen!

16. You might be disappointed in + then, I thought you might like Drunk, it's far more the sound of his big two hits than You Need Me, I Don't Need You! I think they've both been about as successful as each other, not sure why you had such a backlash about that comment!

Great chart!

Cheers Vandbærer :D

Hi Hits, time for some proper comment! How are you doing?

Proper comments. I can't believe (well, I can actually :drama: ) that it's taken me almost a week to find time to reply back. I'm good thanks. just really busy at the moment.

01 (--) Studio Killers - Ode To The Bouncer (01) [1 wk] Quite a late new entry, I guess it was featured in the BJSC or something?

Late because I didn't even know anything about this song until it suddenly rocketed up the charts in Holland where it went to #1. :D So for me it's still relatively fresh for that reason. A bit like Brooke Fraser 'Something In The Water' which I entered into BJSC following its success in central Europe. Completely forgot it was a #1 hit in New Zealand about a year earlier. Oh, and this was my entry into BJSC. :D

02 (--) DJ Fresh feat. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (02) [1 wk] I still prefer 'Louder' by a mile. Did 'Louder' reach number one in your chart?

It sure did. 'Louder' was my "summer anthem" where it stayed for 4 weeks. It nearly got 5 weeks but Beyonce won that battle when 'Best Thing I Never Had' climbed its way to #1.

03 (02) Donkeyboy - City Boy (02-03) [2 wks] I LOVE THIS! The video is amazing!

I find it quite scary whilst clever. The whole negative images thing sends shivers down my spine. Have you seen the "inverted" video on YouTube where the colours are reversed back into normal? It's makes the video look so much more amatuer.

07 (04) Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (02-02-02-04-07) [5 wks]

Indeed, 'Stronger' looks set to become Kelly's biggest hit in my chart overtaking 'Since U Been Gone'.

10 (07) Michel Teló - Ai Se Eu Te Pego! (06-07-10) [3 wks] This is so catchy! It's been in my head since the first time I heard it! Have your heard the English version?

I have heard the English and it's dreadful in every way. I never thought it was possible to take a fun novelty track in a foreign language and somehow make the song sound incredibly dull and boring just by re-writing the song in English.

15 (--) David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On (15) [1 wk] Quite a low debut for David Guetta, is this his lowest peaking single in your chart?

Well 'Little Bad Girl' was so shockingly bad that it failed to chart altogether. Also 'Night Of Your Life' peaked at #16 last year. I also didn't get into 'Memories' either - Kid Cudi's gruff vocals didn't appeal to me at all so that track also failed to chart too.

19 (21) Nerina Pallot - All Bets Are Off (25-21-19) [3 wks] I loved her "Everybody's Gone To War", I haven't heard this one.

Check it out on YouTube if you get the chance. It's a gorgeous track imo.

25 (22) Azealia Banks - 212 (09-07-04-02-01-02-02-06-11-14-22-25) [12 wks] I finally got this and love it!

By "got" you mean the track finally clicked with you? Have to admit the first time I heard this I didn't know what to think. It was one of those tracks that niggled at the brain and ultimately became a song I thought was brilliant.

34 (28) The Maccabees - Pelican (09-09-15-22-22-28-34) [7 wks] I discovered them through BJ thank to Cremey, interesting band, never heard of them before!

Have to admit, I'm not familiar with The Maccabees either considering they're on their third album. When I first heard this, it really stood out and grabbed my attention. This and 'Lonely Boy' are two of the best rock hits I've heard so far this year so proof that there is great rock music out there - it's just UK radio doesn't seem to support these tracks.

38. Alyssa Reid feat. Jump Smokers - Alone Again [1 wk] [pk 38] I'm actually surprised that this is such a hit! :o Not bad though!

Not brilliant either. :P That's just my opinion and I accept there are people on Buzzjack who do like the track. I still think it'd have been so much better if Alyssa had sang the chorus the way Heart do in the original version. Sadly Alyssa sings the chorus in a much lower key so for me it just sounds flat and joyless. :(

16. You might be disappointed in + then, I thought you might like Drunk, it's far more the sound of his big two hits than You Need Me, I Don't Need You! I think they've both been about as successful as each other, not sure why you had such a backlash about that comment!

1. If only I could find time to even comment in charts would be great. :( One thing is for certain, you're the purveyor of pop. :D So when I get chance, I always like to see what's happening in your chart. If the demo version is on YouTube, I'd be interested in hearing that version.

5. I remember when you weren't overly fussed with 'Rolling In The Deep' and how it had this glass ceiling of #7 in your chart. Then all of a sudden the track shot up your chart and went top 5 iirc. Now it seems Emeli's similar sounding track is having that same impact on you. :D

16. I only think the backlash was because I posted that Ed Sheeran had technically been more successful than Jessie J so would be more likely to win the breakthrough award, and Jessie J has a dedicated fanbase here on Buzzjack. I'm not at all surprised Ed won 2 Brits. He's had an incredible 2011 (that "purveyor of pop" comment raises its head right here :D ) with 3 top 10 singles, one that fell short and a million selling album. Jessie J may have had the million selling single but none of her follow up singles until 'Domino' really set the charts alight. 'Who You Are' doesn't really count because compared to Adele's 'Make You Feel My Love', it barely stuck around once the buzz wore off. I also find listening to 'Who You Are' is awkward because she really oversings the song to the point where her "singing" just becomes mere shrieking sounds which I just can't accept as singing. It's like taking Christina Aguilera's vocal gymnastics to a whole new level of OTT. Dogs must go crazy hearing it.

1. I can understand that, I make an effort to Youtube anything in the top three that I'm not already familiar with from anybody's chart, but beyond that I don't have enough time. Here it is, well it's not a demo version as such, it's the old version that was on the original 2008/9 You Need Me, I Don't Need You EP release, hence the Gabriella Cilmi reference (as she was somewhat relevant at the time - but he kept it in anyway ). Not much has changed but there's far more melody/bass in the verses and harmonies towards the end, if anything I prefer this version.

5. This is very true, it eventually peaked at #2 for me and ended up in my top 20 of the year  I guess it takes these sorts of songs a long time to get going for me, in both cases with Rolling In The Deep and Next To Me, I've got into them far more after getting Adele/Emeli's albums and hence they get far more rotation from me.

16. Ed first made my chart in early 2010, a year and a half before his UK chart debut, so I'll take being ahead of the game with him :D I do like Jessie J but her biggest hits in my chart were Price Tag (#5) and Domino (#10) so I can hardly call myself a HUGE fan, she has a couple of great songs and a few average ones. I don't love some of her vocal tendencies either, particularly on Who You Are.

1. Ahh right, I thought Ed was just being clever with his lyrics by including Gabriella Cilmi. Didn't realise the track was that old. :o The original version is better than the version we hear these days. Overall, I still prefer 'The A Team' and 'Lego House' more though.

5. It's interesting to think this time last year Adele '21' was completely dominating the album charts selling over 100k+ for so many weeks. Then I expected Lana Del Rey and Emeli Sandé's album to be this years big sellers yet this week we have '21' looking likely to return to #1 over a year since its release. Adele really is unstoppable at the moment. It makes me wonder just how successful Adele will be when she releases her third studio album. As for buying albums, usually that tends to happen. I used to buy quite a lot of albums myself in the 00s and often when a new single was confirmed, I'd find myself playing that track off the album more. These days I'm a bonafied "cherry picker" unless there is an album I have genuine interest in (like 'Born To Die').

16. You really are way ahead of everyone else in terms of music popularity. I reckon when you look at your latest chart thread and see 13 Guests viewing, these people might be record company execs trying to discover the "next big hit". You should work for the music industry Richard, you have the power!!! :D Mind you, BJSC has really changed the format of my chart. Without BJSC, I doubt 'Video Games' would've been #1 as soon as it was. Probably would've done well off the back of its #9 UK peak but it makes it all the more interesting to see a former personal chart no. 1 hit then become a massive UK hit. Gotye being the prime example in that case. The way 'STIUTK' is going, it could end up being a million selling single by the end of 2012. Although I'm aware that someone entered 'Someone Like You' to BJSC in late 2010. Imagine the shame and humiliation in retrospect had Adele's track DNQ'd. I've never been a loyal follower of any artist. Otherwise you stand the risk of defending your beloved artist even if they release a song that even said fan knows is rubbish, but feel they're too loyal to their fave artist to admit it themselves. That's when you're gone from a fan into a loon for an artist. For eg; anyone who thinks 'Give Me All Your Love' is a Madonna classic in the making is clearly having a laugh imo.

01 Bloody hell it was, I only just realised that. True, Gotye was on iTunes for several months last year didn't it? Once it was removed though, you just KNEW there had to be a big push :D

02 I know right! I don't know if Jade can ever get one tbh :( The rumour that she will do Eurovision again is interesting, I doubt she would do as well as she did in 2009 whatever we sent though. Hot Right Now would make a perfect Eurovision entry, I long for the day when our entries represent the current UK music scene. Even if that means sending Dappy :/ Fingers crossed for that #2 (it is one already :kink:)

11 Yeah it's really not done much at all :( It charted top 100 in Romania and did similar in Belgium. It was top 40 in Canada, probably the Dragonette factor (I was tweeting with them last night by the way, trying to get them a UK show lined up ) Their new album is coming soon though :D

32 You never know, I thought it was too old but Azealia Banks - 212 is getting a proper push next month, so really anything is possible. It does sound like a hit record actually, although I'm not sure it sounds like one from this century  Love it either way tho

1. Nope, it really is THAT old

5. Indeed, maybe 21 will just dominate forever? Such a HUGE album, and a great one too, my favourite of last year by some margin  I can't wait for the third album, I just hope that it's not a letdown because there are going to be so many people anticipating it - huge pressure on her.

16. Maybe I have an ear for the hits, I don't know, usually songs have been and gone in my chart before they've even been considered for a UK release  I download a variety of stuff through the week and just chart what I like. I'd love to work for the music industry but it's impossible to get into without contacts :( Indeed, it's surprising to see just how much impact BJSC has had on your chart over the past few years, throwing up so many top five hits that would have never happened! You missed so much by not joining until a year ago! BJSC are generally spot on, so many big BJSC hits have gone on to become UK hits months, even years later - Someone Like You, Release Me, The Fear, Somebody That I Used To Know, Release Me - even a couple of my entries considering I tend to use complete unknowns - Pixie's Boys & Girls and Caro Emerald's A Night Like This for example. Granted the latter wasn't a huge hit, but her album surprisingly was! I'm not sure that that's always true, I'm a very loyal follower of Delta Goodrem and The Corrs but both have released some crap that's missed my chart altogether in the past, I can be discerning in my fandom, unlike some of the Gaga and Rihanna etc... loons on here
