March 10, 201213 yr Yeah, and that awful 2007 entry...right back on form this year for me, I love that they're sending a song that was a HUGE hit months ago there, perfect platform to expose it across Europe in time for the summer  Just when I think Eurovision's set for it's poorest year ever along comes a Super Saturday with a truckload of thoroughly amazing confirmations to save everything!
March 10, 201213 yr Just when I think Eurovision's set for it's poorest year ever along comes a Super Saturday with a truckload of thoroughly amazing confirmations to save everything! Really? Sure it's been a bit of dry spell recently but the number of definite great tracks we've had confirmed overall to this point was always looking good!
March 10, 201213 yr Really? Sure it's been a bit of dry spell recently but the number of definite great tracks we've had confirmed overall to this point was always looking good! Forgive me for not posting 'in my opinion', perhaps I should have done :P Nothing that was confirmed before this evening was in my current chart top 40. Enough said. A few have been in and out but the songs that I find amazing get there and don't leave until June.
March 10, 201213 yr Wot. This year is looking like it's going to be WAY better than 2011 which IS the worst ESC year. In fact I would already put 2012 ahead of 2011, 2004, 2003, 2010 and probably 2006, even though it has some of my favourite Eurovision entries ever. (not counting the godawful 2000, 2001 and a nice 2002) Edited March 10, 201213 yr by Caïn
March 10, 201213 yr Oh! I thought you'd quite liked a fair few of them... Sure, Stay and You & I and some others are still making their way up to what will be decent peaks - Be My Guest, Per Sempre, När Jag Blundar. These are all excellent songs, but none are 'stay in my top five for months' standard like I Can, The Secret Is Love and Popular were last year. I like to have more than one 'amazing.' entry per year if possible! It's hardly a good sign when Stay was my favourite before tonight and it's already fallen from #4 to #41 in my chart in the space of three weeks...they'll all probably regrow as I expose myself to them more as the contest gets nearer but my absolute favourites don't need to regrow. I'd be surprised if Euphoria falls out of the top five of my chart between now and June.
March 10, 201213 yr Wot. This year is looking like it's going to be WAY better than 2011 which IS the worst ESC year. 1989 and 2002 DISAGREE, and 2010's the worst in recent years.
March 10, 201213 yr And 2001 is far from godawful (in my opinion!). I still have a major obsession for at least 6 or 7 of the entries. 2000 I agree with, despite being held in Globen :drama:
April 24, 201213 yr The final version of this is a little different - a completely new intro, middle eight and ad libs towards the end :o
May 12, 201213 yr Zaleilah's got the chance to be a summer hit all over Europe just like Mr. Saxobeat last year! I hope that somehow can happen!
May 12, 201213 yr Zaleilah's got the chance to be a summer hit all over Europe just like Mr. Saxobeat last year! I hope that somehow can happen! I agree, with the exception of the UK of course where it will be a one week wonder in the top 75 after Eurovision. As IF Radio 1 or Capital would go anywhere near it with the knowledge that it's a Eurovision entry :( Likewise Euphoria of course although I suspect that will do better than top 75, top 20 perhaps.
