The record was established back in August last year, when group's single "Flying Get" went on to sell 1,354,492 copies in its first week. This release marks their 12th consecutive #1 single on the Oricon chart. They now have a total of 7 singles selling over a million copies. The top 10 Japanese highest selling first week singles: 1. February 22, 201213 yr Funny though, NONE of the AKB48 singles have even sold half the total of previous record holders in the list. The trend is basically: Week 1: 1,200,000 Week 2: 180,000 Week 3: 90,000 Week 4: 45,000 HUGE first week but fades off. That excludes Heavy Rotation which is a digital smash/karoake smash.
