At ABC, execs hope to capture some of the magic of their new hit Once Upon a Time with pilot Beauty and the Beast. Much of it was filmed in studio on green screen but there were occasional escapes outside studio. Unfortunately, I didn’t find them on location or see any of the cast — Ruth Bradley, Darius Campbell and Chris Egan.

I should add that I'm not sure the production has actually wrapped as yet. The production schedule yesterday said - Wrapping.

Stargate Studios, Pasadena, CA, a longtime Cinedeck EX user, is renowned for delivering high-quality VFX for feature films, TV and commercials. It recently deployed dual Cinedeck RX systems, in combination with dual Cinedeck EXs and on-board camera recorders, to assist the rapid delivery of 700 VFX shots for the ABC pilot Beauty And The Beast. The Cinedeck RX systems recorded, via HDSDI, the 444 output from dual ARRI Alexa cameras shooting live action greenscreen plates, plus the realtime composites of the greenscreens, with CGI imagery delivered by Stargate's Virtual Backlot. The Cinedeck RX's also transcoded the footage to Cineform 444 for color grading and editorial. The processing power of Cinedeck RX, and convenience of recycling SSD sleds, meant that morning dailies could be downloaded within 15 minutes, ready for shipping to the color grading facility. Ultimately, this enabled Stargate to meet the VFX production deadline of just three weeks.

Hey thanks for the mention on here. Keep in mind that next fall there will be two shows based on BATB. one on ABC and the other on CW. The CW's is presumably a different story every week. I might dip into it on and off but I really don't need to add another cop show to my TV viewing. I'm already watching Grimm and I'll continue to watch to see how the character of Monroe develops.

 

I'm also watching Game of Thrones which is difficult to follow. I am however hooked at the moment - I'm not sure it will keep me through the next two series. I got bored with both Lost and Prison Break because they were too complicated.

 

Secret Circle loses me every time it descends into teenage love story lines. I want to find out more about the older circles - parents and grandparents, so I'll hang on till next season.

 

I intend to watch Smash from the beginning.

 

I'm still watching Once Upon A Time although Sunday's was quite boring, I thought.

 

 

Must admit I'm enjoying OUAT although it's not something I would normally watch. Sue

Murray Abraham, Irish ingenue Ruth Bradley, Scottish singer-songwriter Darius Campbell, and Hamilton, Ont. native Wendy Crewson. Unfortunately OUAT has dropped a lot in the ratings over the last month. I'm out of the loop. Has a second series been announced yet?

 

 

I thought it had - but maybe that's a thought it had as it was successful. I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes so I'm happy to consider carrying on to see more. I hate when a show I like is dropped. I'm waiting for the last season of 'Eureka'. I've loved all of the past seasons but feel it's the right time for it to end after this one.

I am not to keen on modern day settings takes on fairy tales, smacks of cant be bothered to try with the settings or props- would love something mythical like Darius' pilot sounds, lord of the ring, Narnia s type stuff which is popular - would be a bonus if it was HD or could be done 3d for new tv era...oh well, we can only wait and see - there are so many pilots

Just to confirm the announcment on which pilots have been taken up will be announced on 15th may :) like it says above lol sorry. at least we'll get to know soon and hopefully it will be shown here to :)

New Tv Programs 2012 On ABC

There are going to be some really superb new TV shows 2012 on ABC with this upcoming fall debut season. We’ve got the early scoop on many of these shows now and would fill you in on a number of them that people feel are going to be a number of the breakout hits for the 2012-2013 season. So let’s check out many of these series now.

 

The first of the new TV shows 2012 on ABC which I would like to mention is a drama often called 666 Park Ave. Dave Annable of Brothers and also Sisters’ fame will likely be one of the primary characters who exactly assists control an Upper East Side apartment building in New York City. Terry O’Quinn from Lost is also likely to be in the series and he is likely to play the condo building owner. In the show a number of the inhabitants have made deals with the satan as a way to accomplish their craziest goals. So this show is certainly likely to be very worthwhile.

 

The next of the new TV shows 2012 on ABC which I’d like to speak about is a fantasy reimagining of the classic known as Beauty and the Beast. Darius Campbell could be playing the beast in the series as well as the princess is going to find out an unlikely connection during the pilot occurrence. This may set off the series and it’s really supposed the be a very interesting idea.

 

Our next drama for the new TV shows 2012 on ABC is usually a series which is going to be called Gotham. In this series they’re going to find that there is a whole enchanting world inside New York City in which nobody even knows about. So this is some other fantasy sequence which will take place in a real-world setting like New York City. The show has a few promise and I also truly look ahead to seeing it when it debuts.

 

The last of the new TV shows 2012 on ABC in which I would like to speak about is a comedy known as How To Live With Your Parents For The Rest Of Your Life. This series will star Sarah Chalke of Scrubs’ fame.

thanks, another blog writer on twitter mentioned liking the sound abc beauty and the Beast Pilot, and said she was certain it would be taken up, havent posted the blog as it was just a bit about pilots - nothing concrete,

" Could play the Beast in the series"..I do hope so, and he isnt just like stunt man doing the pilot for a well known to step in to take the series...:(

would be good, Beauty and the beast is such an epic story, it seems to touch the romantic side of people - I think abc's sounds far more intriguing than CW's remake of an 80's series..MORE crime shows with a twist. I have everything crossed, whilst remaining realistic
