June 15, 201213 yr What a shame, it looks really good. The beast looks amazing! Would have loved to see it. Sue
June 15, 201213 yr Author So would I. It looks spectacular - the beasts (non Darius ones) are fantastic. Looks really expensive though and still not like a finished product. Such a shame as it'd have been something really special
June 15, 201213 yr I didn't recognise Darius - I take it that's him. It's a shame it didn't get finished. You can see why it took so many hours in make up each day. I wouldn't have known it was him from appearance but there is something about the way he moves and holds himself that is unique to Darius. Looks like something I would watch and obviously having Darius in it would be a big plus ;) Sadly it seems like Darius has opportunity and misfortune in equal amounts :(
June 16, 201213 yr Author But it was good experience and he met some people he got on with well and learnt a lot. And what a thing to have been part off. Maybe it should be finished into a film. Then we could see it. Probably not likely though. It did look too good to be a series on tv
June 16, 201213 yr it does look more like a film than a series the effects looked stunning..I was really enjoying the video, loved the way tehy showed the green then the effects,
June 16, 201213 yr Author I think the main problem was the fact it took so long for them to get it even nearly finished. It is spectacular. I'd have loved to see it. A Scottish beast would be nice to watch
June 16, 201213 yr I think the cast looks great. Ruth makes a lovely princess and Chris Egan looks far more princely than any of the princes in Once Upon a Time. I wish we could have heard some of the dialogue to give some indication of the quality of the writing. Sadly, once a cast is broken up and everyone moves on to other projects, it's almost impossible to put it together again. I suppose it could still turn up as a one hour drama to fill a gap in the schedules, sometime in the future. As for a Scottish beast, I guess I'll have to settle for the excellent Robert Carlyle as the loathesome Rumplestilstkin and unsettling Mr Gold in OUAT. I'd have preferred to see Darius in BatB. October 19, 201212 yr A poster over on Digital Spy believes that ABC's version of Beauty and the Beast is being developed for release in Autumn 2013! I don't know where they got their information from but I hope they are right!! :) Julie
October 19, 201212 yr Author There have been things on the internet ever since it wasn't shown with the other pilots. It was never dropped - just wasn't finished and never offered for view with the other pilots. Someone was set signed to do the music for it the day before the other pilots were seen and comments have been seen saying others who we know filmed were still doing it. I'm still hoping but I haven't had a definite answer either way yet. The only comment about it not being sent out with the other pu=ilots were that the editing wasn't finished yet and then that the special effects needed more work. I'd love to see a proper version of it.
