According to www.cyberpresse.ca, the director of BatB, Yves Simoneau confirmed by e-mail that F Murray Abraham will be Cyril, the Chancellor.

There were so many saying he was and Alan was to be the Emperor that I'd have bee n surprised if he wasn't. Nice to see it confirmed . The other version seems to have been getting known names for the last few announced castings (not known by me though)

They may have the same title but they're going to be very different shows. The CW one appears to be basically a cop show very loosely based on Beauty and the Beast. The original show was very well loved, especially Ron Perlman's Vincent. It's always a tough one for an actor to take on a 'ghost' like Darius had to in GWTW. However it seems likely Jay Ryan's appearance will be very different from Ron's. In this updated one Vincent has become a beast because of some scientific experiment which went awry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Like everyone else... Hope its only a half mask... then again that would be even more annoying as i'd be itching to see all his gorgeous face then.. it would be teasing us with him. Lol

I do hope we get to see clips or photo's from the pilot episode though :-)

At least he doesn't turn into a jolly green giant

I hope Darius's beast will be a lot more subtle. I think they'd have cast "muscle if that's all they wanted.

I'd like to see the Beast similar to the Ron Pearlman one, written so you felt empathy for him. I did like that series.

I should imagine he'll speak - it'd be difficult to tell her about her father if he didn't. From descriptions of the mask, I didn't think he'd be identifiable as Darius. I hope we get to see it

mm, interseting - though he does have such a wonderful voice, its what made the Beast in the fairy tale so appealing, he was ugly, but his voice was kind and soft and you just felt he was more than his appearance implied, I actually fell for the Beast and was quite disappointed with the princely form lol
Well unless the make up department greatly alter the appearance of the Prince in this Beast, I've got a feeling you might quite like him in his human form.

If he can ever become an human. I think we need to know more about how the series will go. If he isn't human - he may remain as he should be. We'd still see Darius just not his appearance
yup. I was wondering if the beast ever changes..its not a romantic story after all ..if we see Darius' beautiful eyes,and hear his voice..thats me smitten for one!!

CW seem a lot more keen on publicity while they're filming their pilots. They've released a photo today of the hero in Green Arrow and I saw a load of on set pictures of "the Selection" the other day.

Ive been looking 4 D's episode of Hotel Babylon 4 such a long time. It was a great episode. Thanks 4 finding it :dance:
