March 7, 201213 yr Wow. It's catchy and quite a spectacle but I can't say that I like it or hate it after the first listen...
March 7, 201213 yr Yaay, so happy that they won. They are just sooo cute that I cannot stop watching their performance over and over again.
March 7, 201213 yr According to wikipedia it's also in Udmurtian, do you understand the language Pavel? :o
March 7, 201213 yr The oldest granny is 85 apparently. Engelbert will do well to match her energy and youthfulness! Battle of the oldies in ESC 2012, will be a mirakel if Bjorn 'old man' Ranelid joins in the fun!
March 7, 201213 yr According to wikipedia it's also in Udmurtian, do you understand the language Pavel? :o No. If I was born in the Udmurt Republic, I would though. It's co-official with Russian there.

He better not be drawn close to Babushki when (not if!) they qualify for the final though. Mainly because grannies will PWN Engelbert. How interesting I was so 'HA RIDICULOUS' about the UK choosing an old fart, but AGOG at grannies being entered by Russia.
March 7, 201213 yr Damn you Tom I DON'T EVEN COMMENT ON THE SONGS IN THE THREAD BUT MANAGE TO POST THE VIDEO BEFORE PAVEL Kay. That's what Twitter is for tbh.
March 7, 201213 yr No. If I was born in the Udmurt Republic, I would though. It's co-official with Russian there. I thought that everyone understood the lyrics :o No need to understand the lyrics to love this song and performance, then!
March 7, 201213 yr Oh, this is good. The grannies were the only thing that had interested me from the talk here, so, well, looking forward to seeing them on the Eurovision stage. I mean, this is amazing. I predict, no I'm sure, they'll do better than Englebert. Excellent choice Russia.
March 7, 201213 yr I thought that everyone understood the lyrics :o No need to understand the lyrics to love this song and performance, then! Only a small percentage of russians even know english, so it doesn't really matter. Grannies have GIGANTIC hype around them, especially after they participated in the 2010 NF (and came only 3rd  ), plus everyone loves and respects grannies (old people in general, not the band) here. March 7, 201213 yr The short granny is the best!! agree :D I feel the same what I felt for Verka. A really nice song, quite catchy and it's like a punch to the European/world music scene's face obv in a good way. Perfect choice, so many people will love it. Partji fo evrybody
March 7, 201213 yr I say it is good Bilan didn't win. His continuous exposure to the Europe would start to piss people off  Even Zeljko waited for 8 years to return (if you don't count 2006 and 2009 he wrote a song each for) Edited March 7, 201213 yr by Crotchlickmeoff
