Janet has posted a video explaining the meaning behind some of the songs that will be on the album: 'Crown of Thorns', 'Hide & Seek', 'When We Were Young' and 'Walk Away'. I love the fact that she also says that the fans are her record label and that the album will be released as soon as we reach 100%!! :cheer:

Janet's album has now reached 99% on PledgeMusic! :o It has leaped up today from around 75% so I don't know if its all valid - I guess someone has decided to pledge lots of different things probably for a joke, but it says that the pledges are now being processed!

 

Maybe we could be getting the album very soon! And if it turns out something with the last few pledges are invalid, it still won't be far away!! :cheer:

Well I hope not, otherwise someone's gonna get a major shock if what I'm thinking is right (that someone has bought thousands of pounds worth all at once as there is no other explanation for the sudden jump)! Janet has tweeted that she thinks someone's pulling her leg too :lol:

I got a call from my bank today because they wanted me to confirm that the debit from my account for the pledge was legitimate.

 

Any other pledgers might want to keep an eye and an ear out for similar contact, particularly those not from the UK.

So Janet's back in the studio recording the album at the moment! She tweeted earlier that she has been deciding which track will be the lead single, can't wait to find out what it is! :D

Janet has now started the official recording of the album! Today she has also been live streaming from her studio! :D

 

The debut album for season 8 X Factor finalist Janet Devlin will feature a batch of new songs co-written with Deni Blues & Roots star Newton Faulkner.

 

Faulkner tells Noise11 that he and his brother Billy have co-written the songs with Devlin. 'We did four or five songs with her and she is definitely going with three or four of them,' Newton tells Noise11. 'There is a track called 'Wonderful' that I'm really happy with. I wrote them with her. They'd say 'we want Pop and we want it a bit to the left and not too obvious'. That's my thing''.

 

Although Newton is writing with Janet he never saw The X Factor. 'I didn't have a television at that point,' he says. 'I have one now but I don't have an aerial which I think means I get more work done'.

I didn't realise 'Wonderful' was one of the tracks she did with Newton, can't wait for the full studio version of that song - the live version is indeed wonderful! :kink:

Janet has confirmed that she is over halfway through recording the album and that she thinks it will be ready for an end of May release! :cheer:

Janet has confirmed she is just putting the finishing touches to the album and will be giving us a final release date very soon! She has also confirmed that those of us who have pledged will receive a digital copy of the album before it is put on iTunes and is out in shops! :D

Janet has posted on Facebook that she has "amazing news on the way for all of my album pledgers tonight"! Very excited, hopefully it's a release date or track listing or something! :cheer:

And Janet has announced that everyone who has pledged for the album will receive their digital download on Monday 1st July, before anyone else in the world are able to download it! Janet says it'll be available for everyone else "around September".

Only 8 days to go, it's approaching so quickly!! :cheer: I do hope that the 3,000+ downloads of the album from the pledgers will count towards the official chart. There's no reason why they shouldn't really!

Janet has now officially completed the album ahead of its pledgers release in just 4 days!! :w00t:

There are 11 tracks on the album and the album artwork and title will be revealed when the album is released for pledgers on Monday!

Janet's Pledge Music project is now complete! 3,355 people pledged for the album, which was 161% of the target needed to release the album! Today, all pledgers will be sent the download of Janet's debut album - so excited!!! :cheer:

 

I've seen on Twitter already that the album is titled 'Hide And Seek'!
