Amazing feat for the Wanted, they achieved something that neither Take That, westlife, Blue , Boyzone , Five or any other british/Irish boy band could since the 80's.... Which is scoring a US top 5.... Good luck for One Direction too, and hope they will follow suite....

Great to see almost 20% of the US chart occupied by UK acts which is almost a miracle considering that back in the 90's, only 1 or 2 UK acts maximum were in the BB hot 100 per week.....

Come on Estelle get in that 100

I could swear you said last week that there was TOO many UK acts in the US chart. Make up your mind!

60th week in the Hot 100 for Rolling In The Deep, now making it the joint sixth longest running song ever:

1 Jason Mraz - I'm Yours 76wks

2 LeAnn Rimes - How Do I Live 69wks

3 Jewel - Foolish Games 65wks

4 Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats 64wks

5 Lifehouse - You And Me 62wks

=6 Adele - Rolling In The Deep 60wks

=6 Lady Antebellum - Need You Now 60wks

=6 Los Del Rio - Macarena 60wks

Good to see a new peak for Rumour Has It, hopefully top 50 next week :D

Oh and a fantastic climb for Calvin, as well as The Wanted ofc :D

How did THE WANTED manage that?!

I'd guess they owe a lot to Glee Cast who I believe had recorded their own version of the song. This is why I think The Wanted should milk their success at the moment because I doubt they will ever see any other singles reach the dizzying heights of the top 5 in America.

The next single choice is crucial for The Wanted. I think 'Lightning' would be the best option but fear it'll be a new song (with a rapper attached).

I think a new song is the best way forward to be honest, 'Glad You Came' is their only big big hit in the UK, I can't see any of their lesser hits having any appeal in the USA. Then again, I wouldn't have said GYC itself had any obvious US appeal either. And I said none of Calvin's existing songs would be an appropriate post-We Found Love launch for him Stateside, but Feel So Close is doing ridiculously well so far. So what do I know?

no , I meant it's something great to see so Many UK acts do well Stateside, it's so amazing....

But I wished there were more room for them back in the 90's and 00's : many great UK acts such as Robbie Williams, Steps, Sugababes , Geri haliwell, Billie Piper, East 17 and many other UK acts would've scored big back then...
