Okay so Rye Rye's new album is 'Go! Pop! Bang!' and it's due on May 15 after being delayed for nearly three years already.

 

No official info as of yet as far as I can gather.

 

A new single of hers has leaked entitled 'Boom Boom' and samples Vengaboys - 'Boom Boom Boom Boom'.

I adore Rye Rye :wub:! I've been waiting for this album for an absolute age! 'Boom Boom' is fabulous :wub:

I'm disappointed. I really liked Sunshine but both Boom Boom and that Robyn song were very mediocre. She reminds me of Nicki Minaj now, and that's definitely not good.

 

Fantastic video for Boom Boom though!

DNA sounds f***ing great. Produced by RedOne if I'm not mistaken.

I have a feeling that playing all these Rye Rye tracks in the album context will only make them better and it will even make the embarrassment over playing Boom Boom disappear (I hope).

DNA is very like... Nicki Minaj feat. Jennifer Lopez, isn't it? Good track though.

I can see tons of 'OMG SELL OUT!!11!!!1!!1' comments for DNA, but me being the generic pop $l*t I am it's the best thing she's done imo.

Porcelain Black is a fucking atrocious 'concept' and I don't see how her and Rye Rye gel in any way?

the chorus is f***ing awful =\ that chord progression is horrendous and so typical, i don't know why anyone uses it any more...

 

the verses are MAD funky though <3

She's never going to sell any records with such a gravely and coarse voice. Especially with RedOne's production.

 

Verses are tight but it really is a vapid piece of generic rubbish. 'It's in my DNA'; what is? Dancing? Goin' to da clurb?

Isn't it very obvious what ''It's in my DNA'' refers to?

I wish the sound of this album would be more like 'Hardcore Girls' and 'Hip-Hop Changed' :( I do love 'Boom Boom', but 'DNA' really isn't that great :(
