May 29, 201213 yr this just came on mtv dance, really impressed on first listen. their best single in a very long time I think, which mainly comes down to how it doesn't sound like a rip-off of another dance-pop song. I still think that they're dead over here though. :( Edited May 29, 201213 yr by Doug
June 14, 201213 yr Author Cascada's new single is going to be a cover of Corona's ''The Rhythm of the Night''. Here is a preview. Sounds pretty weak, I guess because I'm so familiar with the original.
June 14, 201213 yr This is such an obvious sort of Cascada cover - annoying that they're doing another cover, because even though it might not have done amazing or anything, Summer Of Love was showing signs of the old amazing Cascada coming back.
June 14, 201213 yr Author I still think 'Sweet Dreams' is an obvious thing they would have covered. I can just imagine Natalie singing it.
June 15, 201213 yr I think it sounds pretty good tbh, saying that though I seem to like anything they do
June 18, 201213 yr Does the world really need a Cascada cover of "The Rhythm of the Night" featuring a rent-a-rapper? :manson: Here's the full thing anyway. They deserve to flop with it, not that it was going to do anything anyway  http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Cascada-The-Rhythm-of-the-Night-2012.png
June 19, 201213 yr Author Couldn't they have at least hired a good rapper with no autotune? This is bad :( Just when I thought they were going to go back to old Cascada.
June 19, 201213 yr Let's not mix the two singles in this topic ok? Start a new thread for "Rhythm Of The Night" if you wish.
June 19, 201213 yr I've heard 'Summer Of Love' a couple of times but it's just yet another track milking the 'Welcome To St. Tropez' synth sound. There's been endless dance tracks that have all used this sound. 'Welcome To St. Tropez', 'Ma Cherié', 'My Party', 'Summer Of Love', etc...the list goes on. By the 10th dance track of similar style, it starts to get a bit tiresome. However, kudos to Cascada for moving away from the 'Everytime We Touch' sound of 2006, and even away from the 'Evacuate The Dancefloor' sound of 2009. I'd probably praise the song more if the production on the track was more original.
