Not really bothered about them.

 

I'll go for "Dreaming of Me" or "Just Can't Get Enough" for best single - I prefer the early Vince Clarkey stuff.

best album, Black Celebration by a mile. Best single, a toss between Shake the Disease, In Your Room and Enjoy the Silence.

Understood. I just think it's a handy disc to pop in the PC, and the presentation is slick - that's why I think it's worth it

I like Enjoy The Silence, but Lacuna Coil's version.

Lacuna Coil seriously do it justice, Cristina sings it beautifully clearly they respect and admire DM greatly, certainly more than Marilyn Manson did anyway when he destroyed "Personal Jesus".... <_< Even Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda did a better job of reinterpreting DM...

 

Mind you, I'm a bit shocked that you dont know the original...

 

You cannot go wrong with "Violator", the best DM album for me, "Black Celebration", "Songs of Faith and Devotion" and "Ultra" are also great albums.. I dont really like the Vince Clark stuff, they got more musically ambitious after he left, "Speak and Spell" is far too simplistic for me... "101" is one of the greatest concert films ever made by any band... "Singles 86-98" is also an utterly essential compilation album for any casual or new fan....

What do you make of Andrea's voice in LC?

I've heard several of their live songs and I think he ruins it a bit.

He can't sing.
