He talks singing in a leotard to bagpipes, inspirations, music and more...

With Losing Myself - the third single from his No 1 album Echoes - out 19 March, we couldn't resist a chat with the nicest guy in British pop, Will Young.

He's been busy celebrating the 10-year anniversary of his Pop Idol win and training for the 2012 London marathon - his second time running for youth charity Catch22 - but he still had time to answer your Twitter questions. What a guy.

Read below as he gives us the goss on his new beard, his next album, quitting smoking and his career regrets.

@fridayfan: Beard or no beard?

Beard at the moment. I’m enjoying the beard... What I like about being a man… is that if I wanna look younger, then I just do a clean shave. It’s brilliant - it knocks five years off you.

@TheOffic_jerome: What is your next album going to be?

Actually, I was talking to the guys from Kish Mauve about it the other day. And I always think it’s good to start writing now, rather than finishing and then going ‘****! Gotta do another album!’

I’m liking where I’m at in terms of beats... sort of that slightly electro-pop sound. I think it could go bigger and maybe a bit more soul-y now - so singing out a bit more.

But I’m saying that - it could be me in a leotard singing along to bag pipes…

@_naomiyoung_: Do you have any regrets about the past?

No, I don’t believe in regrets. As long as you learn.

You can never do things that are perfect - I know that. So if I make a mistake in life, then as long as I learnt from it, it’s okay.

@pagepann: Are you still off the ciggies?

Yes! I think I might have cross-addicted - I think that’s the phrase - to caffeine. I’m not going to smoke now. Yeah, it’s time. I’m happy not to smoke. And I did a show the other day with quite a complicated dance routine, and I was really pleased with my singing. And I just couldn’t do that when I was smoking. I’m a singer, I shouldn’t really smoke.

@KatiieBaby90: Who’s your biggest inspiration in life and why?

My friends inspire me... I have a lot of respect for my friends, and I think a friend should be inspiring. I think you should see qualities in them that you really love, and want to aspire to yourself.

Some friends I look at and I think ‘god, the way you handled that is amazing’. You should always have respect for your friends. I think if you lose respect for your friends, that’s trouble.

Well done Ros. He certainly seems to like your questions. :D

Makes me really happy to hear he's ready to start writing now for the next album. :yahoo:

Thanks TT! Good to have a thread for them.

It does seem easier to get questions answered now, but I always struggle to think of decent ones.

I suspect he lined all his interviews up for today for last minute practice for Question Time tomorrow night.

Thanks TT :D

Loving the sound of this
