I find the response to Will being on Question time fascinating..from Praise and respect to scare mongering amongst some Members of the church including some shockingly hateful language used towards Will and some deliberate misinterpretation of what was said on the night. It's been an eye opener for sure

I liked some of the points made in this piece.

The most heated argument was between Pop Idol himself and Daily Mail columnist Janice Atkinson-Small, looking like she had taken a wrong turn on her way to a black market fox hunt. Young picked up on her sneaky use of the ‘what comes next?’ rhetoric and rightly labelled it as scare-mongering. Young, along with Will Self – who perfectly pin-pointed the pantomime nature of Question Time by ending one of his spiels with an “am I right?!” – managed to pick up on the fact that Mail commentators and the Catholic Church have been allowed to frame the debate around the idea of the precious institution that is marriage.
Government ministers and opposition politicians alike are terrified both of sounding like homophobes and of sounding like what Atkinson-Small termed “extreme gay lobbyists”. Thank god for Will “we’re not gonna turn up with giant disco balls” Young, being the most eloquent supporter of this universal human right, which him and his rollerskating extremist friends are apparently secretly subverting.

But isn't this always what happens. I'm totally not surprised that Will's comment that if the comments by 'that cardinal' had been made against anyone else they would end up in court - became that all Christians should be jailed!!!!

Yes apparently his appearance on QT and his desire for equal rights and respect means that anyone who has a different opinion to him should be jailed and that he is a part of a 'Gay Agenda' to undermine Christian beliefs. I'm really proud of him and the way he stood his ground.

This tweet to Will leads to a blog about the negative use of the word Gay and the effects it can have.

at the end of the day will has shown alot of courage and guts to not follow the trend and say what he feels and for that full respect to him LEGEND
As Will touched on on QT - the Holy Roman church et al should get their own house in order first. The hypocracy sickens me.
