May 26, 201213 yr Author Don't be like that - this is a very prestigious event for Joe and he was specially chosen by the Royal British Legion after his superb singing in the Festival of Remembrance. If he hadn't been chosen then people would make derogatory comments about that! He cannot win. I have been around since before the Coronation so appreciate the kudos of singing at the event. Bear in mind it isn't the naff concert which is taking place outside the Palace but actually in a little ship next to the Royal Barge.
May 26, 201213 yr I'm sorry but will have to agree to disagree on this one. I don't see it as an honour or prestigious. The Queen is everything that's wrong with this country and I'm not going to change my opinion because Joe is singing at it. All this by Royal appointment nonsense. I doubt she even remembers his name.
May 26, 201213 yr This is a great bit of news for Joe and his fans. He has signed to the William Morris agency and is listed under European and European Corporate. This agency is, apparently, the biggest in the world! He is already signed to the biggest label in the world. (Universal/Decca) So Joe must be doing something right despite the pessimistic posts we often get at the mention of his name! WMEE I don't see what the size of the agency or record label have to with anything, there are pros and cons just like being signed to the smaller ones. In any case it's good to see Joe have a crack at being a proper singer with original material. He can always fall back on the granny market with another covers album if it doesn't work out. No excuses of being mishandled this time though, either he finds his pop niche or he accepts his more of a musical/ classical singer which Cowell and Walsh told him years ago. He'd rather be a pop star so we'll soon see if he can pull it off. Edited May 26, 201213 yr by BuzzLightyear

May 26, 201213 yr So you are a Republican! Who would you have as president then? I cannot think of anyone at all. Yeah I would. Its morally wrong for a country's people not to be able to choose their head of state. So many other issues but thats the bottom line. But this is Buzzjack so I best shhssshh before I get told off for going off topic lol
May 28, 201213 yr Author I apologise - Joe is on the Royal British Legion's boat in the flotilla. Presumably invited by them to sing and then to the party on Tower Bridge.
June 1, 201213 yr Author The concert in aid of the Hunger Project was a great success. I understand it was a sell-out - 5,500 people. Joe sang Don't Stop Believing to open the show and got a great reception. At the end of the first half he joined Dionne Warwick to sing the anthem for World Hunger (One World One Song). They were joined by the London Gospel Choir and also a school choir. The song is very good and would make a great single for the charity. It was written by Tony Hatch and Tim Holder, the founder of the Hunger Project. In the second half Joe sang Nessun Dorma and, again, got rapturous applause. :cheer: Dionne was very impressed according to what she said after he had finished. I don't have any reports of the other singers on the bill because, as usual, the newspapers chose to concentrate on Alexandra Burke's dress, rather than the charitable aspect of the evening. :o
June 15, 201213 yr Author Joe's new album is to be called Here's What I Believe and will be released on 17 September. He has written several songs on there. Or perhaps co-written. He has definitely written some songs recently - not just a word or two.
