May 17, 201213 yr Anyway, here are my second semi final predictions... 01 Sweden 02 Estonia 03 Serbia 04 Norway 05 Turkey 06 Slovenia 07 Lithuania 08 Ukraine 09 Netherlands 10 Bosnia & Herzegovina ------------------- 11 Malta 12 Portugal 13 Georgia 14 Croatia 15 Bulgaria 16 Belarus 17 FYR Macedonia 18 Slovakia I don't think Georgia will qualify. It's a decent performance but the song is awful, so I can see it completely bombing with the juries in particular. Otherwise, I think this one is easier to predict than the first semi. I love the Belarusian entry, but the performance is pretty forgettable, and Bulgaria is just a screeching mess when on stage. I have a feeling Malta might finish 11th again with their Josh Dubovie tribute, so I'm fairly confident on the ten I've chosen here.

I don't think Estonia will finish as high as second (I still think Zeljko has a top two place on lock) but it's clearly going through.
May 18, 201213 yr I have a feeling Ireland is going to fail to qualify on Tuesday. I hope I'm wrong, it's just the recent performances I've seen of Waterline have been pretty poor. :( I can't make full predictions right now, because I'm trying not to watch many rehearsals.
May 18, 201213 yr I think Ireland will qualify, the fact that they are on last gives them a massive advantage. I can see them finishing 7th or 8th in the semi, but probably not top 10 in the final like last year as the novelty will have worn off I think despite having a better song this time around :D

May 18, 201213 yr I'm with Cal on this. Waterline is really not a patch on Lipstick and I wouldn't miss Jedward in the final. I do think they're LIKELY qualifiers but I don't think they'll get high in the semi and they will finish low in the final. Like, ~20th. Edited May 18, 201213 yr by Umi
May 19, 201213 yr I think they'll do pretty much do the same as last year. Some people say that 'Lipstick' was a lot better but there also seem to be a lot of people (including myself) that prefer 'Waterline'. The 'novelty' kept them in The X Factor for quite a few weeks (admittedly just avoiding the bottom 2 each time) and there seem to be a lot of teen girl fans around Europe so with everything in consideration, low top 10 could be on the cards again. Depends on the running order, last year they came 8th from performing near the start and directly before Eric, if they get between two ballads that would be an advantage.

The main reason being it'd shake up the UK's points as you can bet any money that if all three qualify, these will be our top 3 on votes. :manson: One of Sweden, Romania, Iceland, Bosnia, etc...battling for just 7 points would be ridiculous in comparison.
May 19, 201213 yr If there's any 'shock' non-qualifiers this year I think it'll be Greece or Ireland (or both!). Greece because it's on near the start, and I can see both the juries slaughtering it and a chunk of the diaspora getting picked up by Cyprus instead. Plus everyone's falling into the trap of saying 'It'll qualify because it's Greece' and I think pretty much the same was said about Turkey/Armenia last year and look what happened there! Semi 2, I can also see Bosnia just getting edged out by a few points. With all the ballads (balkan and otherwise) most of which are superior to this (Hell, even Portugal, in one's humble opinion) and it being sandwiched between Tooji and Donny. Although having said that if the Juries like it enough that may save them!
