I've done a Finland. :D First time ever that I've charted a Eurovision entry pre-contest. Over the years it's always been after the Eurovision final which just leads to songs entering high and plummeting as by that point, I'm usually over the songs. However, don't expect to see 'Euphoria' remain at #1 in my chart until 26th May. It that happened, Loreen would be #1 for 11 weeks!!! :o

Indeed. Three more weeks in the top 40 and Gotye will break the record for longest run in my chart without slipping out. 'Titanium' got so close but ended up equalling the record with Lady GaGa 'Bad Romance' - both survived for 30 weeks each. Sadly I've got to the point where even I've become bored of hearing 'Titanium' all the time. Overkill is not good (and I'm referring to the music channels rather than radio stations... :no: ).

I hadn't really thought about 'Euphoria' being the natural continuation of 'Titanium'. :D However, Loreen is no longer a one hit wonder in my chart having scored a no. 2 hit with 'Sober' last year following its massive win in BJSC. Oh, I'm certain that 'Euphoria' will still be in my chart when the Eurovision final arrived (it's only 11 weeks away and considering 'Bad Romance' got 30 weeks in the top 40... :D ).

The results of Unknown Pleasures must've been 4 weeks ago? It's well documented that I don't just enter songs into my chart as I hear them (not after 2 plays anyways!!! :lol: ) because it just helps me compile my own chart better. 'Nova' is a glorious slice of Euphoric (there's that word again :kink: ) indie trance, if such a genre exists? :lol:

The last BJSC was choc-a-bloc full of personal faves. You can tell from this weeks chart how many of those entries made their impact on me - even tracks I didn't get chance to award points to have even made it. That's always a good sign that the contest overall was outstanding. As for Nightwish, it was always going to do well having receiving my 6 points (iirc) so the top 10 placing is well deserved.

No, sadly not. Whilst that was the version I had at first thanks to the mp3 packs, I quickly discovered the shorter version on YouTube and I just preferred it more.

It's an odd one. Had this qualified for BJSC last Autumn, this would've been more likely to enter higher as the track was more fresh to me. I only entered this into UP because I was interested to see if it would appeal to others not associated with BJSC (and because I was stuck for inspiration!!! :D ). That means I have admittedly gone off the song a bit since last September when I first discovered the song, but because I made it a chart rule that I would only chart my fave BJSC as long as they made the final - including my own entries. 'Erase You' was my only regret from 2011, should've confirmed 'I Follow Rivers' by Lykke Li instead which ended up being one of my biggest hits of 2011 in the end.
