December 22, 201212 yr Author Tensions Flare Between Umiiruka and Daehun (Yet Again): Yet more tensions have arisen between Umiiruka and (generally) friendly nation, Daehun. The last confrontation occurred as a result of an artist native to Daehun (that being Kyarypamyupamyu) failing to hit #1 in Umiiruka and as with last time, the charts are at the centre of the latest spat. It's a well known fact that Daehiruka are culturally becoming more similar - the Asian culture of Daehun has been increasingly influential in Umiiruka whiile Umiiruka's French culture has been gradually making waves in Daehun. However, Daehun has as of late been taking measures to try and stem the flow of French influence to the country - even going so far as to not allow Shy'm (the most successful French artist in Daehun) to chart with her latest single. This news was a source of controversy in Umiiruka, and has resulted in the dropping of many K-Pop songs on Umiirukan iTunes, as well as the floppage of the latest Girls' Generation single (a cover of Duffy's classic 'Mercy', currently #1269 on iTunes). The always mature Daehunese government has enforced a total blacklisting of all French music on their charts in retaliation, and this announcement caused yet more controversy in Umiiruka. As of right now president Pellegrini is said to be unsure of a solution, but is reportedly "exhausted" of the country's oft-strenuous relations with Daehun.
