March 20, 201213 yr Well, that'll be FUN opening Semi 1 with Euro Neuro. First half of that semi looks nice, can't say the same for the first half of semi 2, which looks rather boring, Netherlands aside. That's done on how much I'd enjoy the songs in there. Idk how it'd affect their chances... I think this'll be good UK opening the show. It's going to be a performance to remember, I can feel it.

March 20, 201213 yr Well I sort of followed this on Twitter earlier on my phone, and I thought the draw results were pretty good on the whole. I was initially worried about Iceland, but I think performing after the HORRENDOUS entry from Montenegro should be of huge benefit. I'm glad that Greece and Cyprus are apart from each other too as it should see both songs through hopefully! Macedonia are comfortably out going on second after Sebia, and I also think The Netherlands will struggle too which is probably the biggest disappointment of the draw results. I think Croatia will also struggle going on after the superior of the Balkan ballads from Slovenia. Sweden have a brilliant slot sandwiched in between ballads and dirge, and I think Lithuania might scrape through now too in place of borderline qualifiers Finland or Belgium. UK going on first isn't as bad as going on 2nd-6th, but I think we'll really struggle to pull in televotes now. Hopefully the jury will remember us :lol:

I would have thought going 1st would be good because you're always at the start of the recaps and people will have had more time for the song to get in your head? Though I suppose by the end you could just be forgotten.

It's better to perform closer to the end because you have more chances of getting remembered in the 15 minutes of voting after all of the performances. And not have any songs similar to yours close to you in the running order, because they will all blur into one. And you don't want to have even more competition for votes. It used to be 'all songs are performed then the voting starts'. Back then it was essential to have a late slot in order to do well. There were some exceptions though - Turkey won having performed in 4th position!
March 20, 201213 yr If you want me to be honest I can definitely say that I love the draw except some negative things. But, generally it is great and Sweden does really stand out.

March 23, 201213 yr I do think the Swedish entry is great and it is a song that could easily be a number 1 smash hit in the UK and Europe if it wasnt eurovision related. That said, Eurovision is a strange ole game as sometimes songs that are great modern pop songs sometimes do not do to well. While i do think Sweden will make the final I have a suspicion that it wont do aswell in the final as many people think.
