Want top 5 (#1 is a bit excessive) and think top 40, largely because it's such a wide category so it allows for a miserable week at #39 or a painful month hovering between #21 and 25.

It's a lot better than "Born To Die" but she's a bit of a one-trick pony isn't she, "Video Games" being far and away her best song

Her music sounds like a soundtrack from Tarantinos' film. There is no difference between "Video Games", "Born To Die and "Blue Jeans" but this is not bad. All of them have excellent harmony and i think that british audience likes her. So, "Blue Jeans" is a potential Top 20 song. But i want to be her third Top 10..

I really really want it to be number 1, easily the best track on her album - I just love it to bits :wub: I'm thinking somewhere between 20-40 though, perhaps low top 20 if airplay picks up a bit more I guess.

At least no-one wants or thinks it will be outside the Top 40! :D

My favourites on the album are Off to the Races, Million Dollar Man, and Carmen. It's a great album - my favourite of the year so far! :D

I like "National Anthem" from her album and i believe that it will be her 4th single.

I went with top 10 in the want but I went for top 40 in the think for the same reason as you.

Very much so. Im not a fan, I like blue jeans and born to die though. Video games is completely atrocious I think.

 

I find with a lot of her songs, if anybody else sings them, I LOVE them, i just don't like her voice.

I would say it is definitely strong enough to get a top 10 placing. I can see this getting massive TV and radio airplay but the fact the album has done so well and it was released alongside Video Games will be detrimental to its chart placement. I want it to go top 5 although I will be happy if it gets to number 1.

The album is my album of the decade so far...... but I think Blue Jeans is the weakest track on it.... National Anthem or the superb Off To The Races over Blue Jeans any day of the week.

 

Some of the songs on the album might pass you by until you read the lyrics - lyrically, she's nothing short of fantastic.

 

And forget Tarantino - she sounds like the best soundtrack David Lynch hasn't used yet...... shocked at folk calling her a 'one-trick pony' - perhaps they haven't listened to the album......

I think Blue Jeans is superb - really atmospheric and probably the 2nd best on the album for me behind Video Games.

 

I doubt it will go much higher than top 30 sadly :(
