Good questions.

I don't know that celebs get off do they? Some don't anyway.

The car phone is interesting. Drink driving is clearly a major problem of deaths but is mobiles? I'm not sure. What are the figures.

drink drivers should get real bad punishment, no excuse for it

But getting punished for using a mobile phone is a bit harsh, but do it carefully IMO :)

i believe that the law states that you have to be in complete control of your vehichle at all times... therefore anything that impedes this is illegal.

yes.

Yes to both. Someone fiddling with a mobile phone and chatting away is NOT paying his/her full attention to the road, and is therefore a potential danger to other road users and themselves....

Spot on. Drinkdrivers have no excuse.

No sympathy for drunk drivers who get caught, but how many do it every day and manage to get away with it.
I have absolutely no sympathy with drunk drivers. There is no excuse for driving over the limit.
