supremes were patchy, imho, yes they were good and a major part of the 60's. but i cant abide ms ross and her backstabbing career moves. my fav supremes was 'where did our love go'..

four tops were perhaps my favs, 'if i were a carpenter', 'bernadette' were brilliant.

temptations.... were 'cooler'.. but failed with me to hit the right spot

stevie wonder was good in the 60's, 'i was made to love her' was i reckon a soul lovesong classic. 'uptight' was a good foot stomper too.

martha reeves and the vandellas... 'dancing in the streets' and 'no where to run, no where to hide' were utter motown classics.

the first 'hit factory' long before waterman, motown produced some great, manufactured, pop acts... great sound, often forgotten nowdays.

Smokey Robinson
