Totally true and a 3rd solo credit number 1 doesnt appear to be out of the question either at this current time.

Gary's falsetto is fantastic! I'd love him to re-record the old Nobody Else album again with his vocals now and release it to stem the tide between now and 2013

That's exactly what I mean, its forgettable and over produced, so I think it would be nice to hear a mature, even acoustic vocal re-recording...

Yahoo posted a story today actually saying that Gary has learned alot from travelling around the Commonwealth musically and that it has given him ideas for the new TT album

Honestly i would prfer new music to recording past glories.

I agree entirely. According to The Mirror though - Gary's started work on the next Take That album already.

Is that definite that Gary has started work on the next Take That album, have the others took part aswell?

Apologies Pippa - he didn't say he had started work on the new album he said he's starting the new Take That album next year.

Here's a link to the article (this is from Contact Music - but the interview itself is much longer in the Daily Mirror newspaper).

I've highlighted the relevant bits about the album.

British pop star Gary Barlow has warned Take That fans to expect a new direction from the band on its next album - because he's been influenced by music around the world during his travels to mark Queen Elizabeth Ii's Diamond Jubilee.

The singer helped put together a track in honour of the U.K. monarch's 60 years on the throne, and he travelled to a number of Commonwealth countries earlier this year (12) to help create the song.

And Barlow has been so inspired by the sounds he's heard, he's planning to incorporate them in the band's album, which is set for release in 2013.

He tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "The trip has had a big effect on me. I am starting a Take That album next year and if I can take one thing from this trip with me, it is that I have been around a lot of passionate people...

"When we come back with a new record it is about doing what we want to do, not trying to fit in. That is the key. So while Take That fans will have to wait till 2013 for another album, the new material is certainly going to be different and with some instruments and themes no one will be expecting.

"When I left Australia I had a case full of music. There is amazing music there. And I am already thinking of the next record with flavours of this music on it. I really discovered a lot of stuff when I was in Sydney. Travel does influence you musically, definitely."

I looked on the Irish itunes and its now sitting at number 69 so i can only hope the ep is charting in the irish album chart. Im so confused by this single from reading comments in the cahrt forum as it now appears the sales could potentially be split between the album chart (the ep) and the singles chart for the individual downloads of sing. Should this be the case i think the peak will be so so much lower than what could have been achieved. What is with Take That singles and now Gary making a total cock up.

who knows, im not really bothered about ireland tbh, their sales are alot lower than UK and it is clear that UK will pretty much be the main source of sales for the single..

when is that documentary on? and is it on in ireland on the same day? that should boost it

Ireland sales are extremely low, but it has been mentioned in the chart thread before that based on capita per head Ireland sells more than the UK. What worries me more is if sales in Ireland are very low that does not say much for Gary as it would more or less mean only a couple of hundred people bought the osng which isnt great at all.

I wouldn't say it reflects on Gary, I mean Gary doesnt sing on the official single, he appears on an alternative one. Gary with TT have had fantastic success in Ireland and sold out Croke Park 2, 3 or 4 times was it last summer..
