Ya very and there was a time when i thought it would never ever happen, somehow i dont think it will be his last either.
Gary held on to his midweek positions which im delighted with, he is number 23 in the singles and 18 in the albums, hopefully he will manage at least 1 more week in the top 40 singles.
The positions are good and no decline from the midweek position was great. If the decline could just decrease now it would help it stay within the top 40 for longer, that said, im not overly confident of it happening.
Number 33 on itunes and also has another version floating about. Sing at this stage looks like it just may have a place in this weeks top 40.
Number 27 in both charts in the midweeks, while this good im slightly surprised the album is dropping faster than the single version. The single version is much higher than i expected this week and the album is a couple pf places lower.
I hope he ramains top 30 now in the offcial chart as it would get him around 10,000 sales at the least on the singles and around 5,000 on the album chart.
Relatively good positions in both of the charts this week, number 27 in the singles chart and number 30 in the album chart. 300,000 for the single is a guarantee now and i believe 200,000 for the album is also looking extremely possible.
Great position, so far it is great that it hasnt completly plummeted in any one week.
Ya so far the chart run is quiet steady which im delighted with, hopefully it can hang on in the top 75 for a few weeks aswell.

Fantastic to see that Gary is still in the top 35 this week with Sing! That's it's 7th week in the top 40 now 11-1-3-11-23-27-34, which I could never have seen happening. I thought after 3 weeks it would be lingering around the top 60 somewhere but this is great and is building up Gary's solo time in the top 40!

Where are we now in regards to its sales? Roughly...

Ya, really pleased with the position in the singles chart, had hoped for a little higher in the album chart though.

Including this weeks sales sing (single is roughly on 285,000) and the album version is roughly on 170,000) when combined 455,000. So realistically an overall tally of 500,000 looks more or less certain.

Thank you for the sales information, those sales are heart warming to say the least and everyone involved will be happy with the performance of sing.

Wow yeah those sales are fantastic! I don't think any of us could have imagined that. With the album, I agree I wish it had hung around a bit longer, but having spent 3 weeks at number 1, beating Paloma Faith, Usher, Amy McDonald and Ed Sheeran to the top spot I think it's done very very well. It also boosts Gary to 4 weeks at the top of the album chart as a solo artist!

Ya, i like how it has brought his solo weeks at number 1 to 4 in the album chart, its a shame it has dropped so much last week but at the same time it has done so well, hopefully this week the album will steady a little bit just like the single has done.

Do we actually know where the album is at the moment in the charts, or do we lose it once it falls out of the top 40?

Fantastic news to see Sing hang on in the top 40 this week at 40!! :cheer: So suprised of the longetivity especially as the single has been in the low reaches of 50 on iTunes for the majority of the week. I haven't even heard it on radio since the actual build up to the Jubilee!

With the album last week it was at 51 and this week its down to 65, found out that they have a top 100 albums chart on the OCC website which again is good, another week for Gary's album in the top 75 :cheer:

- Edit - Looking at the sales it seems that the album shifted around 2,000 copies last week and the single shifted 6/7k!
