It's a great pop song, and one I've found myself liking more and more over the last 6 weeks. I also discovered the other day that Carly came third on Candian Idol back in 2007. I thought Carly had just made a name for herself in a Avril Lavigne/Nelly Furtado way rather than through a talent show. :o

I reckon quite a few people would be thinking the same. Still, at least Gotye qualified for the BJSC final back in August last year. Imagine the shame of Buzzjack had the song DNQ'd only to become a massive hit all over the world. :kink: This is also no. 1 at the moment on US iTunes!!! :o Gotye really has taken the whole world by storm with this song. :o

Starting to grow only now? :o It grew on me during BJSC when it was entered by Pavel. It continued growing on me post-BJSC and ended up no. 1, so in a way 'Call Me Maybe' is doing what '212' did in my chart last December. :D Just when I thought '212' was on its last week (when it slipped 28-37) the track suddenly started getting more airplay on the UK channels and I supposed the novelty-esque value of seeing a former chart topper now getting video airplay made me start listening to this again. Hence why it's managed two more weeks in my chart since then. :lol:

This usually happens in my chart when there's been a big dramatic change in my top 5 the chances are the top 5 will be roughly the same the following week. High new entries indicate how much I like that song, so a new entry at #1 is going to be a big deal to me. I do think it's a really strong top 4 if I do say so myself. :kink:

This was my tip to represent Italy at Eurovision but I just seemed odd that despite clearly being the most popular with the Italian voting public, Nina ended up winning and is now representing Italy with a different song - although the Italian entry is good imo (just not good like Loreen "good" :D ).

Gossling has a good chance of climbing. This tends to happen with BJSC entries in my chart. My absolute faves always chart high with the tracks that receive lower points entering anywhere between 11-40. The lower entries just tend to climb to their peak though. :lol:

This is an incredibly strong top 4 for me and after last weeks all new top 3, they were never going to drop down that quickly. However, I'd say Loreen has a good chance of climbing up again. Still another 7 Saturdays to go until the Eurovision Song Contest Final so chances are Loreen could well be sticking around the higher region of my chart until then. :o That'd give 'Euphoria' potentially 11 weeks inside my top 10 but that's depending on how high Loreen can stay in the chart over these next few weeks.

Indeed, who'd have thought this when Carly entered at #34? :lol: Well, I sure didn't. I think the rise and massive success of the track in the UK has helped the song. Also the video which is hilariously brilliant. Proof once again that any song can be a hit provided it gets a lot of support behind it from radio and media.

I like this a lot hence the top 10 entry. I would say my top 9 is stronger by some distance though. :P Considering I haven't bought 'Ceremonials', I think nearly all of Florence's single have made my top 10 with only 'What The Water Gave Me' falling short and peaking at #11.

I do indeed. :wub: I actually discoved 'Colours' via the Cyprus singles chart website I use when compiling the HIT30 each week. I actually saw the Armin Van Buuren remix first which I liked. Then I spotted the album version so decided to listen to that version too and I just adored the track. Sometimes it's difficult to pin point exactly what makes people like a song, but all I know is that I adore 'Colours'. :D I was all ready to confirm this track but Addy beat me to it when I had to venture into Manchester that Sunday afternoon when Dandy opened the confirmations thread. :drama:

As I posted above, this proves that any song can be successful if it's given a big push from radio and TV channels playlisting the song. Then again after going to no. 1 in Canada, that made Carly's single stand out. It's simply a really fun innovensive pop song that does exactly what's required for a pop song. Add a cute but funny music video and et voila instant smash hit (just add water :D ).

I'm quite surprised that this has been drawing people's attentions. Maybe it's because re-entries are so rare in my chart but in this case it was a genuine moment of forgetfulness!!! :lol: Ie; charting this last year and completely forgetting I had some 12 months later.

I didn't to be honest. :o When it comes to Melodifestivalen, I usually see how the tracks fare in personal charts. If one particular track is doing well in lots of charts, it's give me more incentive to listen to those songs more.

:( I just like this song for some reason. I find the soaring chorus is what makes this song for me. Admittedly, it's likely to drop out of the top 10 in my next chart. It doesn't come close to 'Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)', 'Shake It Out' and 'Dog Days Are Over' which are easily Florence's three biggest hits in my chart.

There's a good chance, as per usual, that a few of the BJSC related entries will climb to a new peak. I still like this track - the dreamy production really is lush so a climb could be likely to happen.

Indeed. I was thinking that 14 weeks ago when it was sitting pretty at no. 1 in my chart. :D It's ended up managing to hold on inside my top 40 mainly thanks to the fact the video is getting more airplay now.
