Posted April 9, 201213 yr GLEE @GLEEonFOX Reply Retweet Favorite · Open We wanted to let you, the fans, know first that #glee will return for a 4th season this Fall! RT this if you’re as excited as we are. So not that long after it finishes for this series - as we know big changes are in store but I am excited :D (thought this could do with a new thread, if the mods feel it should be moved/merged then they can do so!)
April 17, 201213 yr Following on from Lea, Cory, Chris & Naya, a fifth cast member has just been confirmed as featuring in season 4 - Dianna Agron! Great news, despite not always being the most likeable character Quinn has always seemed to have a big role, even after the pregnancy of S1.
April 17, 201213 yr Fantastic! So who is actually leaving then? Any confirmations as to who is leaving? I hope Blaine is staying. I like him.
April 17, 201213 yr Blaine's not graduating anyway! As much as I love most of those characters, I don't really understand how so many of them are supposed to be staying on... I guess we'll just have to wait and see then.
April 17, 201213 yr THANK GOD Dianna is staying! This was always going to be back in the fall. It's when most American shows of 22 episodes return :P
April 17, 201213 yr So when are we going to know how they actually plan to keep them around, this season's finale or next season's premiere?
May 14, 201213 yr FOX is moving Glee from it's current 8pm Tuesday timeslot to 9pm Thursday starting from September. I think this is a great move for two reasons; a) It's now airing after The X Factor/American Idol and it always used to get a nice boost after AI in the past. b) NBC has put 'The Voice' on 8pm Tuesday and being another singing show, it could potentially have hurt Glee.
May 14, 201213 yr I agree. With a lot of the cast 'leaving' this should help prevent the ratings from completely tanking.
May 14, 201213 yr Fantastic! So who is actually leaving then? Any confirmations as to who is leaving? I hope Blaine is staying. I like him. Amber Riley (Mercedes) has confirmed that she will not be returning in the fourth season. Unfortunately.
May 14, 201213 yr This could've perhaps had a thread of it's own but with one member of the cast confirmed to not be returning, a couple of people are coming; SARAH JESSICA PARKER TO GUEST-STAR IN THE FOURTH SEASON OF “Glee” ON FOX In her first return to television since “Sex in the City,” Emmy Award-winning actress and fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker will guest star in the fourth season of Glee. Additional details about her character and storyline will be released at a later date, as Glee prepares to move this fall to a new night and time on Thursdays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), following The X Factor (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.KATE HUDSON TO GUEST-STAR IN THE FOURTH SEASON OF “Glee” ON FOX To kick off Glee’s fourth season, Golden Globe Award winner and Academy Award nominee Kate Hudson will join the cast in a six-episode arc. Additional details about her character and storyline will be released at a later date. This fall, Glee moves to a new night and time on Thursdays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), following The X Factor (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. FOX stunt casting to try and help the ratings remain stable with everything else going on.
May 14, 201213 yr This really needs to be the last season. The whole show's lost any sense of purpose.
May 14, 201213 yr Author They need that rumour about Anne Hathaway guest starring as Kurt's lesbian aunt to be true, how epic would that be? Amber Riley is leaving? I'm conflicted really, it's a shame as I loved her in Seasons 1 and 2 but this season she's been meh tbh, the Sam storyline especially just makes me want to punch somebody to be honest.
May 16, 201213 yr This really needs to be the last season. The whole show's lost any sense of purpose. Completely agreed. It's certainly run its course and it's the kind of show that will have it's legacy tainted irreparably by dragging it.
May 17, 201213 yr Scrap Amber leaving, apparently her Tweet was misconstrued. Who's graduating up and out of Glee? To hear the Internet tell it, nearly everyone. Jane Lynch said she got emotional filming her last scene with Dianna Agron, whose character Quinn is Yale-bound, because "it was like saying goodbye" to the actress. Amber Riley tweeted that she had just closed a chapter in her life, "the only thing I've known for three years. I'm going to miss the whole Glee family ... " Meanwhile, Mark Salling's Puck wants to clean pools in California and Naya Rivera's Santana looks headed for Kentucky on a cheerleading scholarship — and yet, we already know the show will take place in New York and Lima, Ohio. Are all McKinley seniors not named Rachel, Kurt, or Finn off the show? Series boss Ryan Murphy says absolutely not. "A lot of people have been writing Dianna's off the show, Amber's off the show — they're not off the show," Murphy told Vulture. "I think Amber was talking about that bittersweet feeling of, 'I'll never be in the choir room with that exact group of people.' At least that's what she told me ... When I read that [tweet,] I said, 'I think people will misconstrue that.' She's excited about where her character is going. They all are. I wanted to do the right thing by all of them." "We had a meeting, and you know we've become like a family, and I said to them, 'Anybody who wants to stay on the show will stay on the show,'" he said. To be clear, that includes McKinley staff played by Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, and Jayma Mays. "They're all coming back," Murphy continued. "Anyone who is a regular is coming back. Everyone said yes." At the same time, Murphy isn't specifying how long "coming back" means for certain characters. "It doesn't mean everyone will be doing 22 episodes, but everyone wants to stay in our family and our world,'" he said. "I wanted to make sure those actors know that if they want to have a home, they have a home. If they want to explore new and different things while also having a home, that is also an option." Tuesday's season finale will probably explain how some of these characters will stay in the picture after getting their diplomas, and Murphy says the cast has been very into what he's revealed so far. "When I told them all what the next season was, I think they all liked it because they all get to grow and be back to struggling. 'Where is my place in the world?' ... For the most part, I've had really good talks with all the actors, and what I want to do they have loved. Cory Monteith was like, 'I love that Finn gets to do that. That's awesome.'"http://www.vulture.com/2012/05/ryan-murphy...ng-on-glee.html

It's certainly run its course and it's the kind of show that will have it's legacy tainted irreparably by dragging it. Agreed on both of these, I did once love the show, and I'm still watching but its just not going anywhere lately for me. It would be terrible for it to drag on, unless they really can up their game with Season 4!
June 18, 201213 yr September 13th return date! That's before the main "premiere week" and I thought FOX might have gone for two-hour X Factor for one or two weeks pushing Glee back a bit but no.
July 23, 201212 yr http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7mgpqx01y1qa93cao2_r3_250.png http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7mgpqx01y1qa93cao1_250.png Season 4 casting update! Dean Geyer (left) has been cast as Brody Weston, “an upperclassman at NYADA who has his eye on Rachel.” Jacob Artist (right) will play Jake Puckerman, Puck’s younger half-brother. Jake will audition for the glee club, but “his attitude could get in the way”.
July 23, 201212 yr Ooof, finally some eye candy on the show! Chord Overstreet & Cory Monteith agog! YES at the one on the left though.
