I quite like the riff but really don't like the lyrics on Kill The DJ. Not impressed so far

Same, and I'm beginning to adore the verses to "Oh Love" but the chorus really doesn't take off like it should. Video btw:

Better video but the song's not really clicked with me yet. Seems too lightweight, although "going dance" could have gone far more horribly wrong than this.

Third US single "Let Yourself Go" is out over there. Live video:

I only just listened to Kill the DJ and it's surprisingly good. Plus it totally sums up my feelings towards DJs.
I really don't understand why they are going to make 3 albums. Hang up the guitar Billy Joe, you are embarassing your self now.

I don't see where the problem with that is, as long as there's quality to go with quantity.

It's hardly a rash decision for a band of their size, others have done far sillier. And if 40 is old then you may want to tell the Stones.

Okay, I don't quite understand why "Nuclear Family" wasn't the lead single. Restored my faith in the album.

Unbelievably boring and uninteresting in every aspect album.

Where is the band that created the masterpiece that is 'American Idiot'?! :(

Listened to the Uno stream, still not the old Green Day i love but much better than 21st cb. Shoot the DJ is quite cool and catchy, let yourself go is my favourite though, the solo sounds like it's been pulled right out of 1039 slappy hours.

Listening now, two tracks in and it's amazing but then again it does start with two of the three songs I know to be absolute stormers.
I get the strange feeling when listening to the album that most songs remind me of older ones. Is it just me?

Not at all, it's more similar thematically to their earlier stuff.

I find the section between "Fell For You" and "Sweet 16" to be quite dull and samey but the first three tracks kind of save it, "Rusty James" is good and the three singles sound better in the context of the album.

"Stay the Night" is probably my favourite atm. Would have been "Carpe Diem" but it pisses me off that one of the vocal melodies directly rips off their OWN (albeit mostly forgotten) b-side in "Suffocate".

I LOVE UNO.

Nuclear Family is fucking sensational, let's just go straight in there with that one.

Unbelievably boring and uninteresting in every aspect album.

your sarcastic sense of humor always cracks me up pavel.

wot. IT IS.

This is however very dull and exceedingly uninteresting.

God I need to work at Pitchfork.

I've figured out what song Troublemaker sounds like and it's Horseshoes and Handgrenades.
