April 27, 201213 yr I wouldn't rule out a Kelly return, they do this every year and speculate a judge wont be back and that they haven't signed a contract with the show almost ready to begin, realistically i think this doesn't happen as im sure Simon is far more organised than that.
April 28, 201213 yr Author Yeah true, but a new judge would give it a refreshing look again and could bring in a few more ratings if they fill the position with someone like Perry
April 28, 201213 yr I wouldnt mind a change in the judging, i would love a dannii return but i know that will never happen, katy perry would be good though.
April 30, 201213 yr Author According to reports today, Katy Perry will fill in during some auditions (probably like Carmen Electra in BGT just hopefully better!) and Dannii Minogue is going to return. The report says that she left XF for that Kris guy because his career was in Oz and she wanted the baby to be settled but now she is on her own again she wants to get her career back. Is Dannii the right move? I liked her before, but isnt it a step backwards? Then again maybe a step back will help XF make two steps forward..
April 30, 201213 yr I cant see a Dannii return happening at all, that said i would welcome her back with open arms as she was a fantastic judge and realistic.
April 30, 201213 yr As much as i would love love love a dannii return i cant see it happening. I wasn't a dannii fan before x factor but she really grew on me on the show, and her judging was indeed realistic, but i also loved her honestly with the acts from other categories and not just her own. Id say Kelly Rowland had only ever planned 1 year to gain exposure and rejuvenate her UK career, while it did help a bit i doubt it had the total affect she wanted.
May 1, 201213 yr Author It looks like she's the only person in line for the job atm, and they need to make an annoucement by next week latest really. Stranger things have happened as they say...
May 2, 201213 yr With everything that has come out about Dannii Simon i can see both side of why she would or would not return. Looking on various polls, forums, etc. Dannii is extremely popular and a return from her would certainly benefit the show more than hamper it.
May 3, 201213 yr Digital spy voters voted Dannii with 40% and Cheryl 11% as the judge they would most like to see return, 15,000 people voted to my knowledge.
May 3, 201213 yr Author Also, Gary went along to an XFactor meeting last night according to his twitter account, and then later on yesterday evening he started following Dannii Minogue. Read into that what you will! Its pretty much confirmed, im sure of it
May 3, 201213 yr I started to like Danni towards the end of her stint on X-F - but my estimation of her would go downhill rapidly if she returned after Cowell's behaviour. The only possible reason she could have for going back after all that he's divulged in his 'biography' is because she truly does need the money - and on that front - I can't blame her. I admire Cheryl a lot more now for totally cutting Simon off. Having said all of that - the show itself is a frigging dinosaur and should really have become extinct by now. May 3, 201213 yr Well some reports suggest Cheryl and Simon are still best buddies, maybe im wrong when i say this, but Cheryl is very fame and publicity hungry and the Simon Cowell so called fall out got her plenty of press and won her alot of sympathy, Cheryl knows how useful Simon can be to her career wise. I dont hate or love Cheryl but i always felt vocally she was the weakest member of Girls Aloud so she needs strengths in other areas to sell records. Dannii, really really grew on me throughout her whole time on x factor, and especially in her last 2 seasons i just loved her. I would love nothing more than to see her return, whether its she needs the money or not i dont know but i do know i would enjoy the show alot more with her on it and judging wise she is fair and honest and unlike Cheryl i think she genuinely cares about her acts and stays in touch when the show ends and gives support where she can. Dannii should so a Cheryl though and use the show more to her advantage, their is no doubt x factor helped Cheryl sell alot of extra records and i would love Dannii to get recording again and release some cracking material. I will always prefer Kylie to Dannii but would love to see Dannii do well. Il be a happy viewer if both Gary and Dannii are on the panel this year.
May 3, 201213 yr Author I don't believe Dannii needs the money. She got nicely paid for M&S, does alot of events in Oz and is a judge on Australia's Got Talent so i can't see her struggling for a few pounds! Maybe its the cynic in me but this affair with Simon will certainly add a bit to the ratings as to see her reactions la la la. I hope she does come back though, she has a great record too, winning it twice I agree with Pete that Cheryl was and still is the weakest vocalist of Girls Aloud. I would even go on to say that Simon Cowell got her to number 1 with her singles/album by giving her all the promo she wanted in front of 10+million and made her out to be the nations sweetheart. To me Cheryl is not stupid, she's from a council estate etc and so she knows what she has got to do to get on in life and fair play to her for that. But all this publicity is working nicely for her, she's playing the SImon Cowell feud (even when they probably isnt one at all) to her own advantage to drum up support for her music. Cos let's be real...her music doesn't sell because of the singer, it sells because people believe in what Cheryl supposedly stands for as an independent women and a role model to kids (even though she has the tendency to attack people in clubs ) But i also agree with you Kath, the X Factor needs a reboot this year and some bloody good singers!!

I think Cheryl kept a very quiet counsel on the whole affair. In fact the only time I've seen her quite vocal is recently when things were divulged from Simon's biography. Sure the whole thing about 'being dropped from USXF' and all the fall-out gave her publicity - but I don't recall her retaliating in the press in any way. People around her may have - but she kept her own counsel. Don't get me wrong - I don't think she's a particularly good singer or anything - but I think on this she acted with dignity. Danni (for me) will lose all dignity if she goes ahead and appears on the (lets face it - quite sh/te show) now after all Simon has divulged! Kath

And as you say - maybe she was in on the ploy after all (Simon's bio, etc) - in that case - good on her!
May 4, 201213 yr Author Apparently they are getting rid of bootcamp this year and bringing in something completely new and are looking at changing the format of the live shows to beat strictly. Tbh, Strictly had a good year cos they had good celebs for once whilst XF didnt really have a stand out talent, most could sing well and perform well but were never going to be international stars. Saying that apparently Misha B is going to be signed up by LA Reid and her new mixtape will get a U.S sound to it.
