It will still be a wow moment for audiences that have never heard it before, we have the privilege of having heard it sung live to utter perfection countless times so are more able to be 'disappointed'...

I guess I'm just fraught with worry. Looking back at the rehearsal it doesn't seem as bad the second time as it did when I first watched it, but when the backing vocals come in to join her on the first chorus it's very painful on the ears - hopefully it's just a technical hitch that'll be sorted on the night or maybe it's the acoustics of the stadium.

 

 

In other news, Estonia are sailing through to the final. Absolutely stunning performance!

I don't get why it was disappointing too. She's obviously not putting 100% in it, and she shouldn't (because there would be nothing left for the actual show haha).

Estonia and Slovenia both brilliant! Sweden slightly underwhelmed me too, but of course it is only a rehearsal video and not the proper thing. I've seen photos from a later run-through where snow is covering the stage and the front of the audience which does look incredible!

 

Estonia is definitely qualifying now and Slovenia should definitely qualify too! :D

I keep GIVING IN and watching rehearsals. Already saw Sweden, Turkey, Russia and Estonia. I'M SO WEAK.

Tooji's rehearsal went as good as his MGP performance <3 So he shouldn't have problems getting through the semi.

I've yet to give in :D Was tempted to watch Greece and see if Eleftheria was terrible but no, the commentary in here is really enough for me.

I'm not watching any of them (except Euphoria, naturally).

Seen a couple of rehearsals, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, FYR Macedonia and San Marino :)

 

Norway and Sweden was just like in NF's, but FYR Macedonia really suprised me, she was amazing in the rehearsals and San Marino was much better live than I expected :lol:

Ukraine really is a MOMENT for me! For some reason, I always get goosebumps when we get the flash mob on the screen at the end, it just feels like a WINNER! :P

 

I know it won't win though, and Cyprus is still my #1! ;)

Oooh just watched that too *.* The live vocals sound so much better than vocals from the studio version! Ukraine properly back after 3 years.

Is it just me or is the stage so very small? I half expect some of the singers to fall off the edge come the semi finals.

I seriously think that Azerbaijan could pull of a surprise 2nd win with Sabina, absolutely amazing vocal performance in her 1st rehearsal. The presentation looks stunning too!

Not really David! It's COMPETENT but it was quite pedestrian - she does nothing with the brilliant 'BOOM BOOM BOOM' hook (seriously, she's singing it as if it was just another lyric), and the performance doesn't have the drama and urgency it NEEDS to be a contender. At the moment it's just THERE as a song.

 

(Also there's no way in hell Azerbaijan are winning twice on the trot with this Stop rehash.)

Yeah Nina is a bit of a dead-behind-the-eyes performer. It starts off very strong, but I completely lose interest by the second verse, it just doesn't go anywhere and the performance has nothing memorable about it at all.
