This rate is to find out Buzzjack's favourite 'forgotten' top ten hit. It features every song that was popular for one week before falling down the charts quickly.

 

This includes every song that went top 10 for ONE WEEK in the 00s. Even if the song is well known (for example Coldplay's Yellow) it will still be included. Songs that charted for one week at the end of 2009 and continued to chart in 2010 won't count. Songs that first charted in 1999 and charted for one week in 2000 also won't count.

 

The top 4 from each round will go directly to the final. This means 40 songs will be safe in the final after 10 rounds. Numbers 5 - 7 will go to the semi final round. This means 30 songs will be in the semi finals, 10 of these songs will be in the final. So if your favourite song finishes in the results at number 8 or lower then it has no chance. This means in years such as 2005 where there were far too many one week wonders most of them will be eliminated at the first hurdle.

The Nicki Minaj of the early 00s, Missy Elliot is at #1 with a seven point lead. Also scoring over 100 points is "Don't Let Me Get Me" by Buzzjack favourite Pink and "Moi... Lolita" by Alizee (who I have never heard of). Coldplay also get through to the final with "The Scientist". Madonna gets a third song into the semi finals with "Die Another Day". Also getting through is Beverly Knight and Doves - with Coldplay's other entry "In My Place" just missing out. Rik Waller scores the lowest points to date with "I Will Always Love You" which I assume is a cover of the Whitney Houston classic. Afroman of "Because I Got High" fame also scores very low with follow up "Crazy Rap".
