'Burn It Down' becomes Linkin Park's highest charting single in my chart beating the #6 peak of 'What I've Done' in 2007. It's a shame this has plummeted down iTunes but at least I can safely say that won't be happening here. :D

Well, it's certainly grown on me. I never would've expected to see this in my top 10 after the first time I heard 'Young'. In fact, I sort of sighed when it was first revealed the song would be called 'We Are Young' because it was just a bit too similar to the international smash hit by fun. sitting pretty at #1 in my chart. Of course Tulisa has been hyped to the high heavens which is why she's heading for #1 with 130k sales, whilst fun. have had to spend several weeks in the top 10 to get the same sales tally.

I'm sure it will but I have a gut feeling after deciding to enter 'Euphoria' into my chart two months ago, I knew there was a 12 week gap between entering and the Eurovision final taking place. I'm sure Loreen will benefit post-Eurovision and should get a decent boost back up my chart again. :D As for now, I feel it's had its moment of glory in my top 10. I just find myself liking more songs each week to keep one particular tracks locked in the top 2 for endless weeks.

What a brilliant chart run though!!! Especially the "22-24-23-23-22-24" run. :lol: It's another weird one, just when I thought I was getting bored of the track, I listen to it and it gets a boost. It's the cheesey charm that appeals to me. :D

Ohh, that's interesting to know. I never really think people would discover tracks via my chart. Playmen managed to crack the HIT30 a while back so qualified to enter my chart. It's a good track, typically Greek subtle dance music. :dance:

I've long forgotten about the BBC Sound Of 2012 poll. Well, as soon as they revealed Michael Kiwanuka as the winner I lost interest. I still think they only made him the winner purely to avoid having another female winner. They should've gone with Gotye - the signs were there that he would have at least one massive single, and Gotye's album had held its own despite the lower sales climate. As for 'Lost And Found', I just think it's a really nice song. Nothing that would ever compete with the likes of fun. or Alex Clare but good enough for top 30.

I've been quite harsh with the 11-40 but I only wanted to leave it stuff I regard as fantastic:

I really like 'We Are Young' at the moment and it was quite comfortably my #1 this week although I wouldn't exactly say Alex Clare was a distant second. Likewise, I thought the track was ok when I first heard it, but it's one of those songs the more you hear it, the more you find yourself succumbe to its charm. :wub:

You really think so? 'Too Close' just got better with every listen and I think it's quite an inspired track. Singer/songwriter meets dubstep. The production on the track is so sharp this should still sound great in 10 years time. I'm amazed but pleased by the song's success particularly in Europe considering Alex Clare isn't an established British artist.

'The Catalyst' just scraped into my top 20 so in comparison this has already done much better. Somewhat surprisingly, I thought 'What I've Done' was their previous biggest hit but it turns out it was 'Waiting For The End' which made #12 in my chart. Both 'Numb/Encore' and 'We Made It' peaked at #10 in my chart so 'Burn It Down' is easily their highest charting single for me. :o

My favourite album tracks are 'National Anthem' and 'Summertime Sadness'. Don't think 'Carmen' is single worthy and isn't likely to chart as highly as the first three singles have. That's assuming 'Carmen' is still being pushed as the fourth single.

Despite clearly growing on me for weeks on end, there's no denying 'Call Me Maybe' has something incredibly infectious about it. The song, the melody, the chorus, the strings, the video... It all adds up to the perfect pop song package. Will be interesting to see what Carly releases as her next single.

It still surprises me just how much Train have grown in popularity. I bet if they released 'Drops Of Jupiter' in 2012 as the follow up to 'Drive By', it'd probably go very close to #1 in the UK compared to its original #10 peak in 2001. The fact it re-entered the top 40 benefitting from iTunes 50p deal proves that the has always been popular - but only when the price is right. :kink:

I honestly didn't expect to see 'Live My Life' go top 10 on UK iTunes. Thought it'd be a minor sized top 20 hit at best and then drop down the charts. It's incredibly cheesey which will explain why I have a soft spot for the song - kinda like a guilty pleasure. :lol:
