May 14, 201213 yr My thoughts on those NBC shows: Revolution: YES YES YES, looks amazing. The final scene in the clip gives me definite Fringe vibes, which is obviously a good thing. I may have some trouble buying Billy Burke as anything other than a dirty cop hating rapist though given that's all I know him as from The Closer. Chicago Fire: Hotness on show - nice. Story - dull as. Pass. Go On - Oh Lordy, this looks dreadful. Guys With Kids - JUST NO. Do No Harm: It looks like it could be proper trash, but very entertaining trash, I'll definitely give it a go. 1600 Penn: That guy in the clip is DIRE, so I'm not going to judge the show based on that/him, I think I'll give it a go for a bit. Infamous: Hmm, I do like the look of this and anything with Victor Garber usually gets a watch from me anyway. It looks like it could be quite twisted/complex and that + $$$ is right up my street.

With House dead they needed a drama to lead in and the under-appreciated Bones ticked that box.
May 14, 201213 yr I think The Following could do really well, but it screams another Alcatraz style mess to me. That said Kevin Williamson is fantastic and the cast are extremely promising. Typical they leave The Goodwin Games until midseason as well when it actually sounds pretty decent. I'm worried for New Girl. It may crater completely without Glee and it's the only thing I care for on FOX. They really are heading downhill...
May 14, 201213 yr NBC now have full trailers for all fall shows. 'Go On' is already looking better. 'The New Normal', it mentioned TGW. I don't even care about anything else. 'Animal Practice' looks a lot more promising now - same can't be said for 'Guys With Kids'. 'Chicago Fire' really benefits from a full length trailer too. The FOX schedule is pretty boring - slightly annoyed at 'The Goodwin Games' being held back but I'm glad they've moved 'Glee' so now it won't have competition from 'The Voice' (just 'Greys Anatomy' instead).
May 14, 201213 yr 'Chicago Fire' full trailer looks great, I can also see now where 'Go On' is actually going - I think NBC will have 4 hits from their new fall line-up ('Revolution', 'New Normal' and the two I've already mentioned). That said it's NBC so they'll all flop and the network will be further into the doldrums :P here's hoping they can turn it around!
May 14, 201213 yr Author NBC premiering The Voice September 10th, presumably Revolution straight after... they'll also show a complete comedy pilot (probably Go On) and sample a drama series during the Olympics coverage in August.
May 14, 201213 yr After now watching the recently released trailers, I think Go On and The New Normal look good. Also The Mindy Project surprised me. It really is just like a Bridget Jones/New Girl love-child, but I found myself really getting the humour I actually think FOX have a solid set of pilots (minus that Ben & Kate business). Genuinely surprised! Whether any of them will still be on air this time next year remains to be seen.
May 14, 201213 yr Having seen all the Fox trailers I shall be picking all of them up to series. A really good set of pilots I think.
May 14, 201213 yr Author I'm inclined to agree... Jordana Spiro seems like a tour de force of a lead performance in Mob Doctor and The Mindy Project is clearly going to be the breakout comedy of the season. Why NBC passed on that I will never know.
May 14, 201213 yr The Mob Doctor and The Following are really good matches for Bones. I'm wondering if Fox are going to use the 4 episodes held over from this year or the 5 they ordered but never made (Season 7 got a 22 order but only 17 were produced and 13 aired because of Emily's pregnancy) to try and ensure neither of them air an episode behind a Bones repeat, assuming both got 13ep pick ups of course. I think it could be a great strategy, both shows look like a shorter season would suit them better especially The Following. My concern for The Following is how much life is in that central plot driver.
May 14, 201213 yr The Following and The Mob Doctor both look pretty brilliant, but I agree, both would be suited to shorter seasons. By the looks of it, I'm not really sure how they could move beyond a single season a piece to be honest, but then obviously the trailer won't be giving away too much. The Mindy Project and The Goodwin Games both look like they'll be pretty funny, nice to see Amanda from Ugly Betty back, even she is essentially playing Amanda again. Ben and Kate looks pretty weak, don't think I'll bother with that but 4/5 is pretty good going.
May 15, 201213 yr Think I read somewhere that Kevin Bacon only wants to do 13-15 episodes per season of The Following.
May 15, 201213 yr More Bill Hader and I'd be all over The Mindy Project but the trailer just looks so bad.
May 15, 201213 yr I'm worried for New Girl. It may crater completely without Glee and it's the only thing I care for on FOX. They really are heading downhill...I don't think 'New Girl' has anything to worry about. They've found and got their fanbase/audience, so it'll get ratings wherever it's scheduled now I reckon. Not sure how US TV works though so I'm probably wrong about it. 'Revolution' looks so, so good. I was curious about it after reading people's reactions on here, I was impressed. Hopefully it's not just another 'Terra Nova'/'Flash Forward' situation though. Need to find me these links to the promos! Looking forward to the return of 'American Horror Story' though. EDIT: - 'The Mob Doctor' I really don't know what to make of it... I just can't help but think of a weak and poor 'Dexter' style thing going on. - 'Ben & Kate' looks good in a light hearted, family comedy sort of way. Might give it a chance. - 'The Mindy Project' looks really good. Will be giving this a chance. - 'The Following' is looking fantastic from the preview. I like thrillers but usually not in a TV series though, but I will give it a go. - Really liking the look of 'The Goodwin Games' too. I think this has the most potential for me, I can see myself falling for it quite a bit.

May 15, 201213 yr Author Zero Hour, Red Widow and Mistresses all held for midseason from the dramas. Interesting to see Revenge go to Sundays with a very healthy lead-in from OUAT. Presumably they're hoping Nashville will experience similar success to Revenge in the Weds 10pm slot but they're messing with a winning formula so we'll see...
May 15, 201213 yr A very good schedule imo. It's slightly risky to move 'Revenge' after Wednesday at 10pm had been a tough slot for them in the past but I think it's a positive move - 'Revenge' could grow at 9pm straight after OUAT in the slot that DH held for 8 years and 'Nashville' has been sounding very strong and I think it'll go well with the comedies on Wednesday to make it a very solid night. DWTS results show being pushed forward an hour makes a lot of sense rather than not giving the comedies a lead-in, and I reckon 'Happy Endings' & 'Apartment 23' should go well together. 'Last Resort' could do well in the slot they've been struggling with for a while I reckon - was Charlie's Angels ever going to do well? I don't know how much cross over 'Revenge' & 'The Good Wife' have (assuming that CBS doesn't move it either back an hour or to Friday) but I wouldn't worry as 'Desperate Housewives' probably didn't have much effect going up against TGW. The bad thing is that 'Revenge' will probably be forced to compete against awards shows next Spring.
