Thanks Ros.

Great to have it confirmed. Hope he's doing the regional tour as well as the west end as I believe I have a ticket.

Ooh, which theatre? I thought I wouldn't jinx it by buying in advance.

Cabaret with Will Young at the Savoy from 3 Oct

Cabaret, starring Will Young, making his West End stage debut as Emcee, at the Savoy Theatre from 3 Oct 2012.

Directed by Rufus Norris, choreography by Javier De Frutos. Produced by Bill Kenwright.

The production turns Weimar Berlin of 1931 into a sassy, sizzling haven of decadence. And at its dark heart are the notorious Emcee and sassy Sally Bowles, who perform nightly at the infamous Kit Kat Klub. Songs include ‘Money Makes The World Go Round’, ‘Two Ladies’ ‘Maybe This Time’ and ‘Cabaret’.

Will Young, won the inaugural series of Pop Idol in 2002. He has sold over 9 million albums. He starred in the film Mrs Henderson Presents and made his professional theatre debut in Noel Coward’s The Vortex at the Manchester Royal Exchange.

Speaking of his excitement, Will said: "I am very excited about the challenge of choosing Cabaret as my first musical theatre role. The role of the Emcee is a part I have wanted to play since before I started training at Arts Education in Chiswick when I first moved to London. With Rufus and Javier I couldn’t wish for better people to be surrounded by. I have spent the last ten years, singing, dancing and acting all separately. For the first time I get to do all three in one show. How could I NOT be excited. After the success of my latest album, 'Echoes' it feels like the perfect time to step back from pop for 6 months and take on the challenge of story telling in another form and what a story to tell!!!!”

**CABARET will play in September at The Mayflower Theatre, Southampton, Theatre Royal Nottingham, Norwich Theatre Royal and The Lowry in Salford Quays directly prior to the West End.

I'm sure it's the idea of more dancing that has drawn Will to this role. That element has been creeping more and more into his shows.

Are you tempted by the regional dates Ros or will you wait till the west end?

Wonder what they have in mind for this - they say it's not an exact replica.

We'll have to update our artist information too girls - it still mentions the new single as Losing Myself :P

There are two more to add to the promo list too:

21st July

Radio City Live at Liverpool Echoes Arena

22nd July

Radio City Live at Manchester Arena

When are you going Gill? I've booked the Wednesday afternoon. Richard wanted to come too and that fits in with his work schedule.
