Commentary : Alex Clare retains pole position on my chart holding off Juan Magan at and the summer club hits from Tacabro and Alex Mica at 3 and 5. Sandwiched between is a big climber by Welsh singer Marina and the Diamonds rising from 12. Highest climber however goes from 19 to 10 for Danish multi ethnic band Outlandish. Three Eurovision songs disappear from the chart this week leaving just the Serbian entry at 6. Five new entries this week the highest of which is the new one from Australian indie band Temper Trap who had a number one in my chart with "Sweet Disposition" infact number one in my 2009 year end chart. At 13 is a song from the US Billboard top 20 from duo Karmin whilst at 15 is the third track to enter my chart from Tiziano Ferro's album "L'amore e una cosa simplice", "La Differenza entre tre e me" and "L'Ultima Notte al Mundo" both having gone Top 3. At 19 is the official Euro 2012 Football song by Oceana who had a number one in my chart in 2009 with "Cry Cry". Finally at 20 is a song from the Romanian Top 10 by girl duo Like Chocolate.

 

At least 13 different nationalities are represented on this week's Top 20. Looking back to the end of 2011 Gusttavo Lima's "Balada" knocked fellow Brazilian Michel Telo's "Ai se eu te Pego" off the Top and I would not have anticipated the international success that both songs have been enjoying recently. Before that Michel Telo knocked Nigerian D'Banj's "Oliver Twist" off top spot in my chart after a 5 week reign starting in October 2011 thereby becoming number one in my 2011 year end chart and this song finds itself in the current UK i tunes Top 10.
