Is it possible that this could actually chart in the singles and the album chart? with Sing and then the EP Sing? or will it just count under one release? Not sure if Sing alone is available as a download or whether it is attached to the collection

It will probably chart on the single chart if people download the individual song 'Sing'. Then the EP 'Sing' will count towards the album chart because of its length surely?
It looks like a messy release as in split between a single and an ep and a result its chart position will lower than it potentially could be.
Who knows how this will go, it will either be a massive selling number 1 or it will be disappointing. Sales will remain high in the second week though as it is being performed first at the Gary Barlow jubilee concert

Surely you mean the Queen's Jubilee concert? Or WOW! Gary has surpassed his efforts for a Knighthood and gone straight into the royal household

I've put between 100K first week sales with eventual total sales around 500K. If it came to what I want though - I'd want it to bomb massively. Its pretty forgetful really.

Jay's comment really sums everything up. There are probably many people in the UK who think this whole Diamond Jubilee concert is associated with Gary Barlow, rather than the Royal Family.

OT; I remember watching Granada Reports a couple of years back and the news reporter was at a primary school asking some of children what they knew about the Royal Family. A little boy said "they swear a lot", to which the reporter looked bemused and said "pardon?".

The little boy was referring to The Royle Family. :D

My arse!!!

And to think that just over 10 years ago there were many people saying who is Gary Barlow. Just shows how fickle fame is, you have your highs and Gary has had plenty and you have your lows where Gary has also had plenty, but thank god his talent has shined once again, long may it last.

I would have thought if there is street parties, not many people would download music on the day, yes I know I'm clutching at straws :teresa:

Kath's favourite hobby is Gary beating so pinch of salt time i think

its number 1 on amazon, number 1 on itunes albums and 33 and 59 on itunes singles, not sure how it equates atm tho

Barlow will not go to No.1 with this song, it's crap

Which means he'll lose to Loreen, Miss Minouge and (if you know what I mean) Tulisa.

No i really dont know what you mean :heehee:

Wrong - my favourite hobbies at the moment are swimming, cycling, watching TWD, Revenge and 56UP! There are a myriad of other things that take up my time at present - planning diets, sewing, visiting the library, doing the ironing, clipping my cat's claws, all of which are infinitely more interesting than Gary-beating (or indeed listening to this turgid rather boring effort - which actually wouldn't have been out of place as a UK entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest!) I just so happen to have a few minutes here and there to see how Gary's getting on with his attempts for a Knighthood.

I don't think iTunes albums position bears much relation to actual album placings (well it didn't do a year or so back - maybe things have changed).

Kath

I wouldnt call it turgid or boring, maybe not everyones cup of tea but its all for a good cause. Kath you seem quiet bitter about Gary, it is almost like he was a real friend of yours and ye have fallen out, at least your enjoying your other hobbies.

well said Pippa! I to will sleep easier now knowing that Kath has such an array of hobbies
Grey Barlow went around the world and travelled thousands of miles, recorded 210 musicians and came up with this? cheers Grey.
might need to dust off your dictionary buddy
