January 3, 201312 yr Author Suarez and Van Persie are gonna be neck and neck for the PFA Player of the Year award. Reckon the latter will probably win it though cos of Suarez's reputation. Regardless there's been some immense PR from Liverpool about Suarez recently. The media have basically gone from wanting to stake him to licking his boots. Reeks of Cristiano Ronaldo circa 2007!
January 3, 201312 yr I think Suarez has really bucked up his ideas recently, the way he stayed on his feet last night for his first goal was excellent and shows he can do it if he really wants to. He's more than good enough a player to not have to resort to some of the stuff he has, it'll be great if he has finally realised this, and good management of him too.

He's improved so much under Rodgers. I think he's told him how to channel his energy and passion. He does go down easily sometimes, but no less so than any other player, and he certainly does not dive as much as people believe. He started off the season a bit iffy, but since mid September onwards he's been phenomenal. I think there's been some excellent individual management with Rodgers and a couple of Liverpool players.

January 5, 201312 yr Shame things are going downhill for Solbakken, I've rarely seen a team with as good cohesion as FC Copenhagen had under the last years of Solbakken's reign, everything just clicked, and the team performed far better than the player base justified. Then he went on to the house of lunatics that is Cologne, and predictably failed miserably, and now he has failed at Wolves too. He'll probably take a step to a slightly lower level of management now, and then return to the top tier once he's proven himself again, which he undoubtably will.

I think he's getting a lot of unfair stick on this one. It's 60/40 whether it was accidental or intentional. Personally the first time I saw it I thought it was unintentional. Regardless I never expected the goal to be given, and neither did Suarez judging by his initial reaction. Every other striker in the world would have done that.
January 7, 201312 yr I think it was probably intentional, though he wouldn't have done it if his hand wasn't naturally out there and given the way he kicked the ball into the net and how long it took him to start celebrating, I'm fairly sure he wasn't expecting the goal to actually be given. The notion he should've owned up to it is laughable. Regardless, the worst piece of FA cup gamesmanship this weekend surely came from the Brighton full-back David Lopez, after barely being fouled he did a double roll, stopped to look at the ref and then rolled a couple more times for good measure.

January 14, 201312 yr What a weird weekend for me with football, I won a £100 free bet from Ladbrokes this weekend because of my Odds on Card. I put on three bets. Everton cost me £1000 on saturday by not defeating Swansea. Arsenal cost me £423.23 by not scoring against Man City (DEVESTATED). Man U winning won me £1200 which was AMAZING. Newcastle have agreed a 8million deal for Remy, what a singing he will be fantastic!
