February 5, 201312 yr Mikel is slightly underrated, but he's nothing more than a good squad player. Luiz is just shocking, not a midfielder in a million years. Doesn't have the vision, calmness, technique or right agression to play there. And Lampard is so unbelieveably overrated it hurts. I'm not surprised the higher beings at Chelsea want rid of him, he's just not good enough off the ball. Although saying that he's a leader and those types of players aren't really around anymore. Totally agree about Terry, it's the same reason why Rodgers has started playing Carragher again. Someone who takes charge and tells people what to do breeds confidence and security. They've missed him massively. There's nothing wrong on paper with a pairing of Ivanovic and Cahill, it's the same balance of frontline and covering players that they had with Terry and Carvalho - it's just that it's not settled and neither Di Matteo nor Benitez could decide on their first choice lineup. Terry either needs to be at the heart of it or he needs to be gone, he's not a fringe player.
February 5, 201312 yr And now Forest have lost yet another manager. its obviously the george boyd factor and this meddling with the team. good luck whoever takes it, they're gonna need it  anyway: LETS ALL LAUGH AT FLORIST, LETS ALL LAUGH AT FLORIST NANANANANA :w00t: ONLY ONE SEAN O'DRISCOLL, ONE SEAN O'DRISCOLL :yahoo: looking forward to saturday now lol :D
February 5, 201312 yr And now Forest have lost yet another manager. It's absolutely ridiculous, become a complete laughing stock now, don't even care about results at the moment, or who the new manager is, could be Jose Mourinho or Gary Glitter, they probably won't be here for pre-season so what difference does it make who it is?

The Venkys must be pissing their pants right now. Think they're going down as the second worst owners currently in English football. Absolutely ridiculous, feel sorry for McLeish. I don't think he's a great manager, but it's obvious the owners have promised things and not delivered them, the George Boyd transfer being the tipping point obviously.
February 10, 201312 yr So who new that Gareth Barry signed for southampton http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8101/8458259225_d37bcf9772_o.gif
February 11, 201312 yr bristol city beating the florist was good. nice football played too :yahoo: 5 points out of bardiff, palarse and barnsley and that would be brilliant. we are rumoured to be signing billy sharp in the summer too. brian howard as well on trial with us, heard of him, don't know much about him  on a lighter note, i agree with holloway when he went on about watford. How exactly is what they are doing encouraging english youth players ? Something seriously wrong that only 2 english U21 loans can be played in one team, yet 9 foreigners can be !!

I think experience on loan is something a lot of young players need, but it's not a necessity for everyone, and sometimes it's far more beneficial to be receiving academy support from their parent club and playing every new and again, compared to being on the bench. Look at Chelsea, their loan system is ridiculous. I think they have 20-30 players out on loan, it's stupid. I think there's some good young players coming through, and in 4-6 years England will have a good team again with 3/4 very special players.
February 11, 201312 yr joey bartons at it again slating people helping gazza, that guy really i scum tbf :puke2: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/new...twitter-1703800

Think Fergie sees the same potential in him that Ronaldo had. I imagine he'll either end up being absolute class or just another overhyped English wide player.
February 25, 201312 yr we are bristol city and we are staying up!!!! 5-3 was a brilliant result for us, win against wolves and draw against blackpool and we could be out of the zone. :yahoo: extended football league show highlights too, even better
February 26, 201312 yr Author Lot of talk today about Gareth Bale... seriously, if he gets Player of the Year AGAIN over Van Persie or Suarez I'm going to be completely miffed and wonder if people actually know anything about football!
February 26, 201312 yr I don't see how a player of the season award where voting takes place before the season ends can be seen as credible Gareth Bale will probably win based on a purple patch rather than for consistency throughout the season
February 27, 201312 yr Author bale is so over rated imo. tbf shows how bad spurs would be without him I think he's excellent. Spurs would be weaker without him, but so would all the best clubs without their star player. Just to compare him to Suarez and Van Persie for this season is just silly. It's the same media nonsense with Rooney 4/5 years ago. Bale's a fantastic player, but he's not been as good as the two I mentioned thus far.
February 27, 201312 yr Author Benitez to leave Chelsea at the end of the season. Reckon he's trying to get sacked though...
February 28, 201312 yr People will dismiss it as another "Rafa rant", but he does speak sense. He'll be gone at the end of the season, whereas the fans are the ones that will suffer next season if they don't qualify for champions league. How can you support a team and yet still want a manager to fail? It doesn't really work
February 28, 201312 yr I do agree with what Rafa said in his interview, the supporters don't make it easier. I wonder who will be there manager next season, Skybet have Jose Mourinho as the favourite to be the manager.
February 28, 201312 yr There have been seven managers who have won the Champions League in the last 10 years. When Rafa goes Abramovic will have hired and fired four of them, with only Rijkaard, Guardiola and Fergie remaining. It's incredible. Bale will win Player of the Season, purely because of the timing of his best run of form. A final shortlist of Bale, Mata, Michu, Suarez and van Persie + AN Other is one hell of a shortlist though, all had superb seasons.
