Surprisingly good. The last Muse album I bought was 'Black Holes & Revelations' which, despite cracker singles, contained a lot of unconvincing filler. This one is a lot more consistent. Yes, it does sound an AWFUL LOT like Queen in places, but it's a great record. Panic Station is my favourite song from the record. Who would've thought that Muse would go all Faith No More on us?

An awful lot like Queen indeed.... In "Explorers" Matt sounds like he's about to break into "Don't Stop Me Now" at 0:17 !

I hadn't even realised Survival was on the album ha! It was terrible as a standalone track in the summer but it's like an entirely new track on the album, think it fits in really well.

from 1:40 to 1:45 is No Surprises and again at 3:21.

Wished it felt like there was something more substantial to the album, but it doesn't!
I agree. Myself and my brother listened the whole way through and felt it was weak. We found oirsekves spotting the stolen hook. I must write a list of other songs that were pilfered to make this album.
Interestingly I haven't even bothered to listen to this album yet. And I thought I was looking forward to it. Perhaps not. Maybe when I get around to it I'll be pleasantly surprised
Not sure I'm a fan of Muse. Still need to see them live, I'm told that will change my views on them!

Better than Madness, worse than Survival, good overall.

Does anyone else think it's time for a Greatest Hits (for late 2013)?

Yes, it'd be perfect timing. Could be:

01 Sunburn

02 Unintended

03 Plug In Baby

04 New Born

05 Bliss

06 Feeling Good

07 Stockholm Syndrome

08 Time Is Running Out

09 Hysteria

10 Butterflies and Hurricanes

11 Supermassive Black Hole

12 Starlight

13 Map of the Problematique

14 Knights of Cydonia

15 Uprising

16 Resistance

17 Undisclosed Desires

18 Survival

19 Madness

20 Follow Me

Actually it's getting rather difficult to fit them all on one disc.

01. Sunburn

02. Plug In Baby

03. New Born

04. Bliss

05. In Your World

06. Time Is Running Out

07. Butterflies and Hurricanes

08. Supermassive Black Hole

09. Starlight

10. Knights of Cydonia

11. Uprising

12. Undisclosed Desires

13. Neutron Star Collision

14. Survival

15. Madness

16. New Song

17. New Song

18. New Song

Sorted :)

Obviously, but those two would be near the bottom of that list for me. They're one of the few bands where a non-chronological tracklisting would work just as well (mainly because how are you supposed to follow "Knights of Cydonia"?).
Muse don't exactly strike me as the type of act that'd release a Greatest Hits. That said, they do have quite the discography to warrant one.
Would've much preferred Panic Station as the next single, but Follow Me is good too, even if its fairly standard for them. A greatest hits would be amazing, Invincible & probably Maps of The Problematique comes to mind as the first ones to cut

Map of the Problematique remains my favourite ever Muse track... it would be disappointing for them to cut it but, as it was only a live single anyway, it would seem the obvious choice I agree.
It surely depends what type of compilation they release. If they call it a hits package then the smaller hits get shunned. If it's a Best Of you'd like to think Map would make it. That, Newborn and Butterflies are my top 3 Muse songs. Not many bands have three that good.
