They could wait another album and release a full-blown complete hits package like "Time Flies" (although that would have to be chronological really) or they could do a single-disc non-chronological Best Of set next year. Brb, making tracklisting.

Mine is far more hits-heavy but that just reflects my taste, this isn't far off being my 18 favourite Muse songs.

03 Starlight

04 Madness

05 Time Is Running Out

06 Bliss

Substitute "Resistance" for a new single if they must.

05 Bliss

06 In Your World

07 Stockholm Syndrome

12 Starlight

13 Map of the Problematique

14 Knights of Cydonia

Nothing from The 2nd Law because the singles dont really measure up - I'd have accepted The Big Freeze as a single.

Pretty great singles band.

I think they should do a partial Greatest Hits and then a 4CD+DVD complete singles collection in 10 years when they want to take a long break or breakup. And then people would be like 'wow this one has all the hits that weren't on their GH I should buy this too'.

Well, I'll have a stab:

I love "Supremacy" and it's one of my favourites on the album but I did have my doubts about it being a single and the video kind of confirms them. It's lovely, but no visual accompaniment could match how massive it is sonically. Plus I'm still bitter about it not being the theme for "Skyfall".

Supremacy is one of the best songs they've done in years so that's hopefully why it's became a single

the video as usual for Muse is dire though, should have had some sort of Bond-esque video considering the song could work as a theme for those movies

Animals or Big Freeze are the only two songs I like on the album. Supremacy is awful...it's Muse by numbers.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

And that scream is still completely electrifying, although "Panic Station" really should have been given a bigger push.

My brain doesn't like too much formula. When it hears the same formula, the same tricks too many times it starts complaining. I used to love Muse and I still love a huge chunk of their stuff up to 2006 but I want something different at this stage.
