Epic is an upcoming 3D computer animated fantasy-adventure comedy film based on William Joyce's children book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs. The film is scheduled to be released on May 24, 2013.

 

An army of bugs summon mythical creatures known as Leaf Men to help them protect their garden from an evil spider queen. Based on a children's book by William Joyce.

Chris Wedge, who's directing the film, says of Bey's character "She is the one sworn to protect the forest and is the source of its magic."

"Rise Up" from the film has been released to the US Amazon store. It's a nice little song, but it's clearly aimed at kids, with its production/lyrics/being from a cartoon aimed at children.
