October 23, 201212 yr :D I don't suppose Olly Murs has written a word of his either, there again he'll have been too busy writing his next album. ;)
October 27, 201212 yr Some of the girls on Baby D went to his Piccadilly reading/signing yesterday. Said it was fabulous and learned that he's doing an audio of his book which is due out in February when the paperback is released. Can't wait for this - I love to listen to him speak  Edited October 27, 201212 yr by munchkin

November 5, 201212 yr Noooo i cant believe he is talking about a comedy after he finishes Cabaret i have had no interest in it ( except being glad he got good reviews for it) i just want an album. The way things are now in the music business i dont think he will be able to disappear for 3 years between albums :( that has really depressed me, if it is true maybe it is better if i just moved on.....it would be far healthier for me
November 5, 201212 yr He's signed to another label Sunday - maybe they have to work out his new contract before he talks about a new album. I wouldn't lose heart yet.

Didn't he say he would probably be ready to start writing music come the end of Cabaret in another, or did I imagine it. I'm hoping he just mentioned the comedy as it's more closely related to the book and that was what they were discussing. Agree he can't afford to stay away for a lengthy period if he wants to maintain his music career.

Agree he can't afford to stay away for a lengthy period if he wants to maintain his music career. I'm sure Will has already had some sort of talks with his next label as to when they expect/want a studio album from him, also hasn't Will been talking about writing a comedy drama since Keep On was released?
November 6, 201212 yr Will's a songwriter, I doubt he'll turn that off and on like a tap, it wouldn't suprise me at all if he's been writing ever since Echoes was released , probably even now while he's doing Cabaret in the evening. I think he knows how difficult remaining relevant in the music industry is, and that staying away too could end his career entirely. He likes to multi task doesn't he? and the comedy drama is something he's been working on for ages, I wonder if it will ever see the light of day.
November 6, 201212 yr I agree with Sunday, three years away from the music industry is lethal these days. His sales will almost definitely decrease to 200k-300k. Look at Shayne Ward Look at Leona Look at Dido  Go away too long and your fanbase is gone Although Will has more loyal fans he'll lose the 'punters' interest. I personally think the more non-music stuff he does, people presume he is not taking the music seriously. :puke2: Album every 2 years is right Next album should be August 2013. I am excited to see what Universal do with Will. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Thank you SonyBMG for a great 10 years they've been VERY good to Will - he should admit that. :cheer: The Pitbull thing still makes me laugh!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: Edited November 6, 201212 yr by sajjadali
November 16, 201212 yr If anyone has The Sun there's a review of FP in today's...doesn't seem to be in the online version though sunbookscolumn @sunbookscolumn Read my interview with Andy McNab in today's Sun - as well as a piece on the wonderful Booktime and reviews including Will Young's memoir...

I doubt very much that is true. He must be more than ready for a good long break though, I don't know where he finds all his energy. I think he will be bursting with enthusiasm with his new label when he returns. :cheer:
November 16, 201212 yr If anyone has The Sun there's a review of FP in today's...doesn't seem to be in the online version though I read this while I was having a coffee in town. She just said that with Christmas coming there's an influx of books - some of them not very good. Will has a memoir (which I reckon is the best way to describe his book) which she enjoyed reading and which showed a side of himself which he has kept carefully hidden. Not exactly a review then but pleased she said she enjoyed it :)
November 16, 201212 yr Thanks Munchkin. Not exactly a review then but pleased she said she enjoyed it :) It's worth typing up though  'At this time of year, the bookshelves are groaning with autobiographies. Many aren't worth the money- and then there are the good ones. Will Young shot to fame in 2001, winning the first ever series of Pop Idol. Whereas other TV talent show 'stars' have fallen by the wayside, Will continues to shine as a singer and an actor. His honest tale is one of the best I've read and he reveals a side to his personality that he's kept well hidden.' I think that's rather nice. :D
