June 28, 201213 yr Merci Santoro ! I understand how a CD single can make a difference, it still does with fanbase-centric acts (boybands etc.) in the UK, what I don't understand is where do you buy them? In the Virgin Megastore on the Champs-Elysées, they had no section for CD singles anymore when I went this time last year. I guess there is Amazon etc but would people really spend 5 euros on a 2 track CD single when they could download the song plus remixes for 2-3 euros?
June 28, 201213 yr Author Thanks for your interest, Tom ! In fact, you can still find around 20 or 30 CD singles in superstores or hypermarkets like Auchan, Carrefour... To be honest, I can't remember the last time I bought one because 4 euros is very expensive for only 1 good song. I think it's rather parents who can buy those CDs for their children. For example, René La Taupe had a huge success in France two years ago. Very good, isn't it ? lol
