April 4, 201312 yr I just don't see any of that happening at all, it would be something completely unrelated to the comics which they haven't done before, if that would happen they wouldn't leave the people at the prison helpless so some would have to stay. Also Carol has never been a regular so why would they suddenly get rid of her for not being one? I'd be more worried about her staying for longer if she was promoted. Usually in shows like this when a character is suddenly brought to the front and has episodes about them that's because they will leave or die and make it more unexpected for the viewers. Ooh, so if we go by the comics, what should happen next? I've never checked them up...
April 4, 201312 yr They'll never kill Carl off. He and Rick are the core of The Walking Dead (Robert Kirkman has made that clear. TWD basically tells the story of a father and his son in a dystopian world).
April 4, 201312 yr Ooh, so if we go by the comics, what should happen next? I've never checked them up... Just go read the wiki page for a synopsis but I would suggest reading the actual comics. I have got the first 2 compendiums and I'm half way through the second. I think we'll be in the prison until at least the mid-season finale. They'll never kill Carl off. He and Rick are the core of The Walking Dead (Robert Kirkman has made that clear. TWD basically tells the story of a father and his son in a dystopian world). It's more just wishful thinking, I find Carl so annoying in both. I wonder if the TV show will ever bring in characters from the Telltale games? It would be really interesting to see how they would be interpreted.
April 4, 201312 yr I'd hate if they brought in some of the characters from the Telltale games. They should be seperate. I'm sure the telltale games actually follow the comic book storyline. I'd hate if Lee or Clem appeared in the Walking Dead, although I'm sure there will have been discussions.
April 4, 201312 yr Melissa McBride has stated on Twitter that she IS a series regular. Although frankly I don't think the distinction between series regular and recurring means ANYTHING on this show (ask Michael Rooke or Jeffrey DeMunn). Carol is now one of only five remaining from the Season 1.

I think if any were to crossover it would have to be minor characters.
April 5, 201312 yr Just go read the wiki page for a synopsis but I would suggest reading the actual comics. I have got the first 2 compendiums and I'm half way through the second. I think we'll be in the prison until at least the mid-season finale. I may be tempted by the books indeed. But I've gone on the Wiki page and I'm not sure I like the direction the story is taking. I liked the whole "survival" feel of the first and second seasons. So far I'm not keen on the "humans VS humans" or "town VS town" plots, so I hope they don't follow the comics storyline too closely.
April 5, 201312 yr You can't really always rely on zombies. This season definitely felt like zombies are now in the background. People handling the whole situation offers so much more to write/shoot about.
April 5, 201312 yr Watching people survive against the zombies >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Watching people kill each other when they're the only ones left.
April 5, 201312 yr You can't really always rely on zombies. I find the living human V living human far more interesting than perpetual living human V zombie anway. I understand that they were a sort of novelty to TV in the first place - and I'm sure it was possibly the zombies bringing a good number of viewers in - what's the point of a foe that can't plot, scheme and plan? I do think that this season has been dragged out for too long though. There were bits were people were talking but they weren't actually SAYING anything. I'm rather surprised to find myself thinking that Carl is the only one with any decent survival instincts - he'd be a better leader than Rick any day of the week.
April 5, 201312 yr You can't really always rely on zombies. This season definitely felt like zombies are now in the background. People handling the whole situation offers so much more to write/shoot about. True, true. I know it couldn't go on forever, as the whole killing zombie thing would probably bore me as well, but I really liked that special atmosphere of the early days, that constant feeling of insecurity. If they're good though, they can still make the show as exciting as before only developping the psychological side of the humans VS humans plot. It's just that during this season, they kind of "fail" to do it, it lacked something to be really, really exciting - as it's been said I think it's just that they have dragged the Woodburry plot for too long this season.
April 5, 201312 yr What is the point of killing each other? Never completely understood that. Because we live in a society governed by rules. Take those rules away and it's obvious people will change. I think it's interesting to explore this side, because in any sort of mass population catastrophe, unless there's a government in place, it's obvious these things would happen. I did read something a few weeks ago with one of the producers where the zombies will become a mess manageable threat in Season 4.
April 5, 201312 yr I have to say - having read some negative reviews of this season finale - I thought it was actually quite good. Very disjointed in parts - but on the whole very satisfying and quite sad. I never quite got all the Andrea hate and would have liked to see her go on for another season - but there you go! Carl was absolutely right to do what he did and I don't know how Rick can think badly of him. What Carl did was less cruel than Rick did (or didn't do) with the hitch-hiker a few episodes back.
April 6, 201312 yr What Carl did was less cruel than Rick did (or didn't do) with the hitch-hiker a few episodes back. ikr. They basically did the same thing (only Rick didn't pull the trigger himself) yet Carl is singled out. A bit of an errrrr moment.
April 6, 201312 yr I never understood why Andrea was killed off, it wasn't much of a cliffhanger to be honest to end the series with, but I enjoyed the episode. At this stage I don't know where they are going with season 4, if the town has turned against the Governer, there is only him and two of his aides left there could be others, probably they lose their lives in the mid way of the 4 series, and move onto something else. They have more people from Woodbury at the prison now, so new characters will probably get flesh out and bring them out of the background.
April 10, 201312 yr I am at episode 12 and whilst it is a fantastic show and I have been completely hooked does anyone else hate Rick? He just dismisses everyone else apart from his group for no real reason, even when theyre good people and his son is an annoying little c**t too who has the most punchable face ever. I only really like Andrea and Glenn tbh. Oh and Michonne but shes not really main cast.
April 28, 201312 yr I want to know who keeps cutting all the grass. There will be spoilers so stop if you haven't watched Anyway watched the 2nd half in one day recently and found a few things annoying. Disappointing ending for a start. Andrea died because she was stupid. Having locked theGoverner in withte zombies why didn't take his car instead of walking to the prison. I always liked her but that was dumb and out of character. From then on I knew she was dead despite being one of the more interesting characters. Merle had his redemption which was again predictable but done well and another great character lost. Maggie, Carol and Glen are all tedious and I hope they all die soon too. Michonne was always going to be brilliant so am pleased she's staying. Carl's getting interesting now and the other newcomers have potential. For next series I don't expect we'll see much of the Governor but wouldn't be disappointed to have a small role in the series. Think they'll move on from that storyline. Still one of the better shows on tv (Game of Thrones ftw)
